(Really really quick filler chapter that's really short because I want there to be some kind of filler between the last chapter and the next one bc idk anyways enjoyyyyy)also nadia is greatly inspired by nadia from elite, it's like the same character and same everything just different personalities bc I love Nadia in that series and i just envisioned my nadia as her.
FALLON COLLINS
"You're what?!"
"We're friends again"
"Yeah, I got it the first time you said it"
"Then why did you ask?"
"It's an expression, Fallon!" She groans, slumping forward and grabbing one of my couch pillows before screaming into it with frustration.
I wince as she yells, her voice muffled by the pillow. Her hair is spread around her, and her hands are clutched into fists beside her.
It was safe to say Nadia was mad.
"We agreed that it was wrong and that he wouldn't be violent around me, what's wrong with that?" I ask genuinely, my brow furrowing.
"Are you insane!?" She snaps her head up from the pillow, her face morphed into disgust. "He beat someone up in front of you? He did drugs? He's literally insane?" She points out everything, holding up fingers as she gives me the reasons.
I roll my eyes, huffing.
"Yeah, Nadia, but he was kind of right. Liam forced himself on me and I don't know what I would have done if Harry hadn't been there" I explain, and she rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, I hate the both of them. They don't deserve to be near you, Fallon"
"Well, Harry's my friend" I shrug out, looking at the couch.
"Yeah, but the fact that he's your friend doesn't mean he isn't bat shit crazy" She snorts out.
"Oh my gosh, Nadia, can you just be happy I'm in good terms with him again? He's the first friend I've made in a while and you're not helping" I groan out, getting tired of her attitude.
"And it's great, Fallon! It's great, but... him? You could be getting A-list celebrities and going to parties, it's your choice you aren't doing all that" She points out, and I can't help but feel frustrated because I know she's right.
"I know, but there's nothing wrong with making a friend" I point to her accusingly "You have tons of friends like that and I don't say anything"
"Yeah, but they're not close friends. They're acquaintances. There's a difference. This man literally came into your life out of nowhere. You don't even know his intentions"
I scowl at her. "So now he needs to benefit out of me so that he can be my friend?" I ask. I don't mean to wound mean or rude, I just really want to know why she's so pressing on me being or not being friends with Harry.
Her eyes widen at my words, and she shakes her head.
"No! God, no, Fallon. I'm just– I'm just saying to keep your guard up, alright?" She asks, worry inked on her features.
I clear my throat, looking at the ground and nodding.
We stay in silent for a few moments, with me contemplating what has just been said. She did have a point, but after my conversation with Harry yesterday he seemed really willing to change and try, so I didn't want to judge him just yet.
Nadia looks at me, her eyes narrowing as she continues to look at me. My eyes dart around the room, her gaze making me feel uncomfortable.
"What?" I finally ask her when she doesn't do anything but stare.
She purses her lips, sighing.
"You like him"
I'm taken aback by her statement. I scowl, snorting.
"What? No I don't" I deny, my heart beating faster.
"Yeah, you do!" She yells out, pointing at me. "I fucknig knew it! I knew it!"
"Nadia! I don't like him!" I exclaim, frustrated that she's insinuating things.
"Alright, I won't say anything, but you know that I'm right" She stops, holding up her hands in surrender.
I bite my lip, leaning beside me to grab my cup of coffee.
Did I? No, I didn't. Harry was crazy, he wasn't boyfriend material, and I did not like him.
"I don't like him like that" I state, turning to look at Nadia.
She sits there for a moment, her lips pursed before she finally speaks.
"I don't know where you plan to go with that friendship, Fallon, or if you want to make it a relationship" She sighs, taking a sip of her own coffee. "But I'm warning you, as a friend. He's going to hurt you, and if you're with him in a relationship he's going to break your heart" Her tone is soft, almost delicate as she speaks, and I know she means well by telling me this.
Still, I can't help but feel the tinge in my chest at the fact that she doesn't like Harry, or that she thinks that he'll do something to disappoint me.
"That won't happen. Harry's a good guy. And as for the relationship thing... it won't happen either. Even if I did like him. That's a big if. He would never go for someone like me"
Nadia's eyebrows wiggles, and she lets out a chuckle.
"Well Linny, you never know. You never know"
