I gently stroke my pencil against the paper, in quick, delicate motions. I finish the final details of my work, and hold it out in front of me to take a look.

I sigh. This is the fourth time this week that I've had a request to draw Oikawa Tooru. All of the girls in our school love him like he's some kind of king, and they always come to me asking if I can draw a picture of him for them.

Staring at his smiling, pencilled face, I really cant see what the big deal is. I've drawn him so many times now that his face has basicly become muscle memory for me. I'm getting quite bored of it, yet at the same time, it's pretty much the only thing that motivates me to keep going.

I hold the finished drawing carefully in my hand, and stand up from my desk, looking around the classroom for the person who had asked me to draw Oikawa.

I caught sight of a crowd of excited girls at the other side of the room, and know immediately that Oikawa must be among them.

The girl I'm looking for must be there to. I really dont want to get any attention from the crowd though. Hopefully they'll be too busy talking to Oikawa.

I hesitantly wonder towards the crowd of students, studying their faces until I finally see the girl I'm looking for. I walk towards her, still holding my picture of Oikawa she asked me to draw, and tapped her lightly on the shoulder.

She turned to look at me with an annoyed expression, but her face lit up when she recognised me.

"Oh, it's you! Did you finish that drawing yet?" She exclaimed excitedly.

I nodded and held up the peice of paper to her.

But before I could hand it to her, an arm came down from behind me and snatched the drawing away.

I turned around, and was shocked to see Oikawa standing right there above me, inspecting my sketch of him. I nervously watched him, not quite able to read his expression as his eyes darted across the page.

Then he looked down at me with a huge grin. (He's way taller than me)

"Oh wow, this is very good indeed. You must really like me! But hey, who doesnt?"

He hands the drawing back to me, and I try desperately to hide the fact that I was blushing. Wait, why was I blushing? I shake myself and come to my senses.

"I'm afraid not. Actually, she asked me to draw this for her." I spoke up, pointing towards the girl. She looked down and giggled nervously, before taking the drawing from my hand and hurrying out of the classroom, clutching it desperately to her chest.

I turn away and begin to head back to my desk, before I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder. It was Oikawa again.

"W-what?" I stutter, trying to not show the fact that he was beginning to annoy me.

"You really are talented, you know. What was your name?"

I hesitate for a few seconds, before saying. "Why would you care?".

I turn and mumble "It's not like I'm gonna be around for much longer."

I walk away, hoping no one heard that last sentence.

~~~later that day~~~
Finally, the last class of the day. Soon I would get to go home. Its art class, the only one I pay any attention to nowadays. Everything else seems so pointless.
"So today class," the teacher began. "We will be starting a two month art project. It will make up 60% of your final grade. You will be working in partners."
My heart dropped at that last sentence. I was not a people person, I never had been, so having to work with someone sounded like hell to me.
Oh well, i guess i can just tell the other person that I'll do all the work. I didnt mind since it art was my favourite, and that way i wouldnt have to interact with anyone.
"To decide who your going to work with, I've put all your names on slips of paper, and put it in this box." The teacher continued. "I'll call you one at a time to pick a piece of paper, and that will be your partner for the next two months."
People began going up one at a time. I heard all the girls saying that they wanted to be with Oikawa, of course. A small part of me was interested to see who he ended up with. I would kinda feel sorry for whoever that would be. He doesnt seem like the kinda guy to take art projects seriously.
Just then, Oikawa's name was called, and the room went deadly silent. Everyone held their breath as he walked to the front of the room, their faces desperate to be put with him.
I rolled my eyes and went back to staring out the window. Why do I even care who a snob like him ends up with?
Then I heard it. My name. It cut through the silent air like a knife.
"Y/N"
Oh fuck.
