When Zendaya woke up, she could see Tom still sleeping beside her. It was only 7:30 in the morning, and usually Zendaya would've slept to at least noon. But it wasn't a usual day.
She studied Tom, not wanting to wake him up. Last night's anger had dissolved and she couldn't help but miss him. He normally looked all cute and peaceful when he slept but Tom was barely recognizable. He didn't look at peace— if anything, he looked concerned in his sleep.
Zendaya didn't know what she was doing. She should be mad and she should be hurt. But as she stared down at Tom, she felt awful. He didn't seem to be coping with the break-up too well and she couldn't even imagine what it would feel like to be him right now.
She wished their relationship could've lasted. God, she needed it to last. She had never met someone like him. Before Tom, her life was dull; a numbing daydream, but the minute he almost ran her over, it was like her life changed.
