Well, hello there... *wink*

It took me a while, I know and I'm sorry, but here's the chapter! School started ( a long time ago) so I probably won't be updating as often as I did these past few months (and let's be honest I wasn't overly frequent even then), since I really have to focus on not committing a homicide while I'm in that hell. And sometimes on studying...

Also - MORE FLUFF!!! I'm putting insane amounts of fluff in these so when the fall comes Sherlock can land on something soft :)))

And yes, the reference you might spot later  was intentional (when are they not?)

Now that I've made an excuse, please, proceed...

Being in a relationship with Sherlock Holmes was definitely something else. At first, it was hard for him to wrap his head around the fact that he was dating someone and even searched online for advice. He'd been busted when (Y/n) caught him browsing for relationship advice on WikiHow. Of all places. After being told by literally everyone he knows that he should just relax and be himself, he started doing just that and, would you believe it, relaxed after a little while.

However, he was still uncomfortable with PDA. If it were just him and (Y/n), he could be as affectionate as Sherlock Holmes could be. Even if John or Mrs. Hudson were around, he still wouldn't hesitate to steal a kiss or two, but as soon as someone else would step a foot inside the flat he'd become more reserved. He was far from being cold - he still used corny nicknames John suggested him once he'd asked and would hold (Y/n)'s hand if he was really feeling like it, but nothing other than that. And that was fine. (Y/n) had zero problems with it, unwilling to push him out of his comfort zone when it was unnecessary.

"Sherlock!" (Y/n) called as she ran upstairs. She was surprised to find him awake and sitting in his chair, lost in his mind palace. Sherlock despised getting up early, after all.

"Oh, I didn't expect you to actually be awake but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised." She chuckled. "I just came here to say goodbye before I leave for work..." She paused to take a better look at her boyfriend and try and figure out why was he ignoring her. Sure, he was in his mind palace, but so far her voice was more than enough to pull him out of it.

That's when she realised that he was not in his mind palace and that he was, in fact, asleep. When thinking, he'd usually sit straight, hands firmly clasped under his chin and his eyes moving behind the eyelids, but now he sunk in his chair and his head hung slightly, his clasped hands serving as a support for it. This man woke up and got dressed only to take a nap in his armchair.

(Y/n) smiled fondly, quietly approaching him and placing a kiss on his head. She didn't mean to wake him, but Sherlock still jerked awake, turning his head around frantically, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Easy there, Sleeping Beauty. It was just your prince charming - no need to be afraid." She said, running a hand through his neatly brushed curls.

"Oh, it's you." He yawned.

"Should I be offended by the lack of enthusiasm?" (Y/n) jokingly asked. Instead of responding, Sherlock took her hand and kissed it, looking up at her tiredly.

"Alright, I suppose I cannot get offended when you look at me like that." She chuckled.

"You better not take offence - especially after keeping me up half the night and then having the audacity to wake me up now." Sherlock said.
