I woke up with a start. A loud scream sounded throughout the castle.

"No, no please!" Somebody cried from outside my door. I jumped up from my bed and quickly got together my budder sword. I readied myself as a scream of pain ripped through the the man outside my door.

All went silent. I strained my ears to listen closer. As I listened, a sizzling sound produced from the wooden door. I instantly recognized the sound and hid behind my bed just as the creeper on the other side exploded. I peeked over the mattress and scowled angrily at the man at the door.

"Sky. How are you, old friend?" He said. I stood up and held my sword in front of me.

"We are not friends, Ty." I growled. He smirked.

"Why do you think I said old friend?"

I continued to watch him. He slowly inched forward, his smirk stuck on his face.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Nothing. I just wanted to show you that I could take out all of your guards singlehandedly and still get to you." He. said

"You only want to show off." I mocked. He shook his head.

"Just make sure you get more guards by Skyler's birthday. Somebody might crash the party." He chuckled. He then extended his wings and broke through the roof. I covered my head to avoid getting hit with a brick.

I held my sword tightly as I ran from my room and into Skyler's. By now, my breathing had become loud and uneven. I entered her room.

"Skyler?!" I called. She spun around. I sighed in relief when I saw her face.

"Dad? Is he done?" She asked. I nodded.

This was the third time Ty has attacked us this week. Now that I think about it, the attacks have been more constant since Skyler's birthday month came around.

Why? I have no idea. Skyler was turning 18 next week. If Ty kept up with these constant attacks, then I won't have any security left in the kingdom.
