It wasn't long before I woke back up. There wasn't anymore pain, and the burning in my throat had passed. I sat up only to find that Nurse Salem and Skyler were having a nice little chat near the bathroom door. They were very quiet, but I managed to catch most of the conversation.

"How is he?"Skyler asked.

"He's doing quite fine. His heart is beating powerfully, and his ribs have fully healed. His fever is fine too. Thanks to that dragon blood in his body, he survived." Salem replied.

Skyler let out a breath she been holding. "That's wonderful. So how have you been Salem? How is your brother?"

"Oh, I'm doing fine. My brother still hasn't recovered fully, but he's on his way. I just wish Jason were still around to see his little brother fighting this sickness. He'd think so highly of Todd." Salem said. Jason...

At this moment, I cut into the conversation. "Jason... Was your brother?" I asked. The two girls looked at me, both with a surprised look on their faces. Skyler rushed over to me, her arms opened wide. She hugged me tightly.

"Hey Skyler." I hugged her back.

Salem slowly made her way over to the bed, head down, and hands grasping the clipboard tightly. "Yes. Jason was my brother. He was murdered by... You and that other hybrid when you were corrupt."

"I'm... I'm so sorry, Salem... Jason was my best friend too. I feel absolutely terrible for what I've done in the past, and I know how it feels to have lost someone." I paused and glanced at Skyler. "Especially someone you love. But I've learned to live with myself and forgive the person who took that someone away from me."

"I know. I've already forgiven you. Out wasn't your fault. You were unaware of your actions." Salem said looking up at me. Skyler shivered, and let me go.

"I'm sorry Uncle Ty. I was young when I killed Astrea. I wanted you to myself, and she was in my way. I'm so sorry."

"Skyler, what'd I tell you about apologizing all the time?"

"Only apologize when it's necessary. But it is necessary!"

"No, what's in the past is in the past."

Skyler nodded. There was a moment of silence between us three before finally, someone came to get Skyler for her classes. She left, leaving me and Salem alone.

"You're fully healed. Would you like to get dressed?" Salem asked. I nodded. "Great, I'll go fetch your clothes."

After I finished getting dressed, I met with Sky in his office.

"Ty."

"Sky."

Sky sighed and gestured to a seat in front of his desk. "I don't feel like sitting." I said.

"Ok. Listen up, Ty. I know there has been a tremendous amount of tension between us these last few years, but I want to put that behind us. I know, I said some things that I shouldn't have said, and my actions were not thought out properly, and I was acting on anger and revenge for something you didn't even do. You were right. You took more damage than I did. Your wife and child are dead, while my daughter is still alive. I have been a dick to you, Ty, and I want too make it up. So, please, forgive an old friend for his idiotic mistakes." Sky said. I smiled.

"Are you serious? That's all I ever wanted to hear." I said with a chuckle.

"Good. So we can be friends again? Would you like to move back into the castle? I've ordered the guards to clean your room and have it ready in case you wanted to stay, I've even had your door roof thing fixed."

"You know what... That sounds wonderful." I said with a smile. "I missed you, brother."

"I missed you too... Brother."

*******

Soooo...Well, I think this is the 2nd to last chapter. Should it be? I've run out of ideas.
