Chapter 2

Skyler's POV

"Stand up straight!"

"I'm trying!"

"Clearly not hard enough."

I forced my back to straighten even more. It hurt, but it was the only way to get her off my back.

"This is not working. You'll never learn how to be a proper lady. That horrible Uncle of yours has ruined your brain since day one." Ms. Kingston said.

"My uncle is not horrible! He is just angry with how my father had treated him over the past few years! Wouldn't you want revenge after your best friend blamed you for something and banished you?" I snapped. Ms. Kingston stared shocked at me.

"A proper lady does not yell!" She said calmly.

"WELL MAYBE IM NOT MEANT TO BE A PROPER LADY! MAYBE IM MEANT TO BE ME!" I screamed at her. She jumped back in utter surprise.

"My word. I say, you deserve to be punished!" She said wagging her bony finger at me. I sighed loudly and stormed out of the room. I made sure to transform while she was still watching.

"She's just like him. Ignorant, stubborn and a monster." I heard her mumble as I left. I speed walked through the halls and made my way to the grand hall. I stopped suddenly when I saw my dad. A gasp escape my mouth and I quickly transformed back into human form.

I ducked behind a corner and watched him. He swaeemed to be waiting on something. Just then, a small group of guards came in. They were surrounding a girl it looked like.

She was really beautiful. Long, soft jet black hair. She had on a long, flowing emerald colored dress.I couldn't get a good look at  face, but I could tell she was beautiful just looking at her body.

"Who is she?" Dad whispered to a guard. I turned my attention back to him.

"Oh she's... Um..." The guard stuttered.

"How dare you bring a beautiful woman into my castle..." Dad said. He walked up to the woman and took her hand. "And not know her name?" He smiled charmingly at her and kissed her hand. I grimaced at the thought of dad flirting.

"Speaking of which, may I ask the name of whom I have been acquainted with?" He asked.

"What?" I whispered to myself. He was trying to flirt. Ew. Old people flirting.

"My name is Sihari Anderson; and it is very nice to meet your acquaintance." She smiled a Hollywood smile showing all 32 pearly white teeth.

"You have beautiful smile."Dad complimented. She blushed. Dad seemed hypnotized by her, as well as all the guards.  "Are you hungry? I can prepare a lunch for us." He smiled. Sihari nodded.

"Prepare us lunch!" Dad ordered the guards. The guards hesitated before walking off towards the kitchen. They all kept looking back at Sahiri.

"Please," Dad said as he led Sahiri down the corridor I was hiding in. I gasped and quickly looked for different place to hide since he would see me. Unfortunately, there aren't many places for an 18 year old to hide. I turned and walked away quickly.

"Skyler?" Dad's voice called up to me. I cringed. Maybe I want fast enough.

"Yes daddy?" I said as I turned to face him again. I held my hands behind my back and smiled happily.

"Why aren't you in class?" He asked.

I groaned. "Dad, that lady is so rude." I complained. "Stand straighter! Talk slower! No yelling! No snickering! There are way too many rules for me to abide by."

Dad shook his head. "Um... Sahiri, this is Skyler, my daughter. Skyler, Sahiri."

"Nice to meet you Skyler." Sahiri said. She extended a hand towards me. I looked at it as if it were a disease.

"Yeah, you too." I said. Dad frowned at me.

"Oh." Sahiri pulled her arm back.

"I'm sorry about my daughter's behavior. She's just tired."Dad apologized. I scowled at Sahiri.

"Maybe those classes are much needed." Sahiri said. I stared wide-eyed at her.

"Dad, are you gonna let her talk to me like that?"

"Skyler, please, just go back to class." He said. He held Sahiri's hand and walked past me.

"Are you serious?! Dad!" I called after him.

"Skyler, it's not ladylike to yell." He called back. I screamed and transformed again.

"I hate you!" I screamed. I saw him stop and then to look at me. When Sahiri saw me, her green eyes widened and she began to shake. I stomped my foot and flew out of the castle by crashing through a window.

I flew far and into King Mitch's kingdom. I landed on the cobblestone ground and went back to human form. As soon as I stepped onto the crowded streets of Mitchington, I was greeted by many girls my age.

"Her Skyler!" "Hi Sky!" "Long time no see SkySky!" I said hello to them all and entered my favorite shop. It was a small coffee shop called Stefani's.

I sat at the counter and waited for someone to notice me waiting. It was then that I met him.

"Hi, welcome to Stefani's! How can I help you?" He said. I stared into his eyes. They were a very bright and calming hazel. His face was like all the goddesses of beauty came together and made a perfect human.

"You could kiss me." I thought to myself.

"Haha, excuse me?" He laughed. I fell even more in love. His laughter was like melted chocolate.

"What!?" I said. I must've thought out loud. "Oh, um... A frappe please...." I said. I was blushing heavily. He nodded and began to walk away. "Wait!" I called. He stopped and came back. "Uh... Uh... W-with whipped cream please?" I said. He smiled and walked away again.

It wasn't long before he came back with my frappe. I smiled and shakily took the cup. "That'll be $3.00, bit since you're so cute, I'll make it $1.50." He said with a smirk. I blushed even harder.

"Oh, uh... Thanks. I'm Skyler DoesMinecraft" (XD im so sorry XD)

"Really? Well, I am pleased to be in the presence of a princess." He bowed. I blinked and handed him the money.

"Thanks.... I-I'm Skyler..." I said again. I mentally slapped myself.

He laughed again. "I'm Dennis Richardson. Not exactly royalty, but my dad works as a guard."

I giggled. "That's close enough."

As we talked in longer and got to know each other better, I realized how dad felt with Sahiri. To be completely enchanted by someone's beauty...
