Chapter 22

Dalawang araw na ang nakalipas simula nang nagkausap kami ni Lennox sa field. We didn't talk that much because we we're both kinda busy for the upcoming Midterm Exams tomorrow and on Friday. Napagusapan na rin namin na ituloy na ang naudlot na date sa Sabado. SPUI Foundation Day will be held next week. Since we have a lot of time for next week we decided to put aside the investigation and let ourselves unwind and enjoy for a bit.

I stayed up until midnight to finish studying my lessons. Natulog na rin ako pagkatapos mag-aral. Kinabukasan, maaga pa rin akong nagising dahil ayaw ko mahuli sa exams namin. Sumilip ako sa pintuan ng classroom at nang nakitang wala pa si Sir pumasok na ako at dumiretso sa aking upuan.

"Good Morning, Stella." I greeted my cousin who's now reading her notes.

"Morning, B." She replied without looking at me.

I took out my reviewer from my bag and started reading my notes again when a piece of chocolate was placed at my desk. I stared at the man in front of me, his morning face is so dashing! Bakit sobrang fresh ng mukha niya sa umaga? He slip his hands on his wet hair and winked at me.

"Good Morning. You should eat this during our exams, alright?"

I glared at him. "Why? I don't like to eat during exams."

He pouted. "Baby, according to research sweets are good whenever you're studying and taking exams. It makes it easier for you to remember all the things you studied."

Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. "Hmm, why do you say so?"

"Because eating chocolates with a higher concentration of cocoa can reduce your stress level. Apart from the decrease of stress level, it also rejuvenates your memory and immune system." He casually said.

Napatango na lang ako sa sinabi niya. "Uh, okay. I didn't know your such a genius, Lex. I'll eat this later." Pumasok ang adviser namin. "Good luck."

"Yes, I am. Ako lang 'to, Zia. Bilib ka na naman masyado sa'kin."  He chuckled. "Good luck, B." Sabi niya at dumiretso sa kanyang upuan.

I rolled my eyes when he passed by me. Sometimes, Lex is very intimidating and very hard to read. But sometimes, he's so tender and very easy to deal with. He has the ability to change his mood so quickly.

Nang nagsimula na ang first exam namin binuksan ko ang binigay na chocolate ni Lennox. Tumalikod ako para bigyan siya pero itinaas niya ang kanyang kamay na may hawak na chocolate. I gave Estella a piece before  started answering my exam sheet. Few minutes have passed and it seems like chocolates really helped me to remember all the things I reviewed last night.

Friday afternoon when we finished all our exams. It wasn't really that hard for me since I keep on studying my lessons these past few days.

"Hey Z, kain tayo sa Cafe Leona. Oh, my God! Ginutom ako sa Calculus kanina. Heh, heh. Bobo pa naman ako sa Math." Umiling pa siya habang naglalagay ng tint sa labi.

"Right. We need to treat ourselves 'cause exams is finally over!" I looked at Lex and he's busy typing something on his phone. "Uh, you want to come with us?" Tinago niya ang kanyang cellphone sa bulsa bago tumingin sa'kin.

He shook his head and stood up. "Nope. Next time, B. May pupuntahan lang kami saglit nila Ali. Kayo na muna ni Stella." He said cooly.

"Saan kayo pupunta? Uh, nevermind. I'm being clingy. Right, kami na lang muna ni Stella. Mag-ingat kayo!" I smiled.

Humakbang siya palapit sa'kin. "We won't do anything illegal." Ngumisi siya. "Text me when you're home. Una na'ko, naghihintay na ang mga mokong sa'kin. Take care."
