I got into the car and he greeted me with a kiss on the cheek.

Drew- You look gorgeus. - I smiled softly.
Me- Thanks. - I notice some music playing low on the radio and I turned it up. - Wow, Dear God at 8pm? Someone's got a broken heart. - I joked and he laughed.
Drew- There is no time to listen to Avenged Sevenfull.
Me- You got that right. - I chuckled and looked at the street through the window.

A few minutes later, we arrived in a beautiful restaurant, I tried not to look too impressed but I definitely was. He had a reservation, then as soon as we walked in a guy guided us to our table and gave us the menu.

Drew- How nervous are you in a escale of one to ten? - He said looking at the menu and I looked at him.
Me- What makes you think I'm nervous? - He looked at me like it was obvious.
Drew- You spoke more to me the first two minutes that we saw each other than you spoke all the way here. - I chuckled softly.
Me- Ok, I'm extremelly nervous. - I put down the menu and exhaled while he stared at me and then he laughed.
Drew- Why?
Me- Look at you. You shouldn't even be asking me that.
Drew- What?
Me- Let's just order before I have a heart attack. - He laughed.
Drew- You got it, Ma'am.

We ordered the food and I excused mysef to go to the toilet.
I looked at me in the mirror and exhaled.

Me- He's just another guy, you don't have to be nervous. - I whispered to myself. - You are in control. - I looked directly into my eyes and exhaled. - You.. are.. in.. control. - I whispered breathing heavily.

I got out of the restroom and went back to the table.

Drew- So? - He asked as soon as I sat.
Me- What?
Drew- Have you dealt with your nervousness yet? - I giggled.
Me- Yeah. It has been dealt with. - He smiled.
Drew- If it makes you feel any better.. I haven't been out like this with a girl in a long time.
Me- Like this? - I asked confused.
Drew- You know.. In a restaurant, formally, like an actual date.
Me- Um.. I don't buy it. - He chuckled.
Drew- I'm serious.
Me- Why? There must be girl crawling to go out with you.
Drew- I'm working too much lately.
Me- Yeah? What do you do?
Waiter- Excuse me. - He put our orders in the table. - Bon appetit.
Drew- Grazie.

I smiled at the waiter and he left. Then I looked at Drew in awe.

Me- Wow, so you speak Italian?
Drew- I know a little, my father is Italian.
Me- No way, that's so cool.
... We ate and talked a lot. He was so sweet and funny. Then I looked at the watch on the wall and gasped.

Me- Damn it, it's past midnight, I told Ava I wouldn't take long.
Drew- Relax, I'll get you home in less than 20 minutes.
Me- You can get me all the way home in 20 minutes? No fucking way.
Drew- You'd be surprised at my escape pilot skills. - He joked and I laughed.

Drew asked for the check and as soon as the waiter brought it I took it.
Me- Let's go. - I grabbed my purse and got up.
Drew- What are you doing?
Me- Leaving? - He got up and joined me.
Drew- With the check? I don't think so. - He took it from my hand.
Me- I told you this one was going to be on me.
Drew- Yeah, well.. You can get the next one. - He said stopping at the balcony.
Me- You're going to say this every time, aren't you? - He smirked at me, taking his card off his wallet and I chuckled.

He payed the check and we left, as soon as we walked out of the restaurant I crossed my arms 'cause it was really cold.

Drew- Here, you look cold. - He said putting his jacket on my shoulders.
Me- Thank you. - He opened the passenger's  door and I got into the car. Then he entered through the other door.
Drew- So, do you want me to go fast or safely?
Me- I'd rather be late then dead, so do it safely. - He laughed.
Drew- You got it. - He started the car, and left.
Me- Damn, I should've put my jacket over this thing, I'm fucking freezing. - I said cringing on the seat.
Drew- Do you me to turn on the heater?
Me- Oh, yes, please. - I asked and he did it.
Drew- You are definitely not used to this cold, are you?
Me- Definitely not, how do you guys even live like this? - He laughed.
Drew- When it's not freezing the weather is pretty good.
Me- Really? And when is that?
Drew- Like, two months a year. But you'll get used to it. - I laughed.
Me- Oh, great, I'm gonna drop dead frozen before I even graduate. - He laughed.
Drew- I'm kidding, after winter everything gets back to normal and the summer is pretty warm.
Me- I'm used to the California weather so I don't think we have the same concept of "warm". - He laughed.
Drew- You're right, California is like hell, especially from July to August.
Me- I know, right? I used to literally tour around in my bikinis and shorts, because it was way to hot to put more clothes on.
Drew- Damn, if we do that here we might literally drop frozen. - We laughed.

A few minutes later, we finally arrived at my building. He parked the car and got out, then I got out and he came to me.

Drew- I had an amazing time tonight.
Me- Me too.
Drew- See, I told you the nervousness was actually unnecessary. - I giggled.
Me- Yeah, you were right. And the Italian was actually great.
Drew- I knew you would like it. - He smiled.

We stared at each other for a few seconds, I really wanted to kiss him, but I was too nervous to make a move, so I just took off his jacket and handed to him. He grabbed and smiled then I put my hand on his shoulder and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Me- Thank you.. - I smiled. - It was great.
Drew- Yeah, it was. - He smiled. I started walking away from him and he stayed there, kinda frozed, until I heard him calling for me.
Drew- Am.. - I turned around and looked at him.
Me- Yeah?
Drew- Mexican next time? - I giggled.
Me- Sure. - He smiled.

He got into the car and I walked into the building. As soon as I entered my room Ava looked at me totally excited.

Ava- So?
Me- He is perfect. - She laughed.
Ava- Did you kiss him?
Me- I wanted to. - I sat on my bed.
Ava- Then why didn't you? - She asked chocked.
Me- I don't know. I was nervous. - I laid staring at the ceiling.
Ava- So what? Be nervous kissing. - I laughed.
Me- Don't make me regret this more than I already do. - She laughed.
Ava- And how is he?
Me- Oh, he's such a gentleman. He's sweet and funny.. He's a great chatter, and he's smart. He speaks Italian, can you believe that? - I looked at her - And he smells so good, FUCK! - I closed my eyes and put my pillow on my face.
Ava- You are totally falling for him.
Me- I think I am. - I took the pillow off of my face. - How can I be so stupid? I can't fall for a guy who I barely know. Besides, I just got here, I don't wanna be stuck with someone. - I sat on the bed. - I won't talk to him anymore. - Ava looked at me totally unbelieved. - I mean it.
Ava- Ok, if you say so.
Me- You don't believe me.
Ava- I'm not saying that.
Me- You don't have to, your face expression is demonstrating it.
Ava- All I'm saying is that.. You dated a guy for more than a year and this guy Drew is the first one you really went on a date with since you and Nate broke up.
Me- Ok, and your point is?
Ava- I totally get that you might be falling for him, and I don't blame you, he really sounds like a good guy, but I think that maybe you're getting attached by the felling and not the person.
Me- I don't get it.
Ava- I think that going out with him brings a lot of old memories of you and Nate, maybe you're missing someone to talk to, to have a moment with and... I don't know.
Me- So you're saying that I'm not falling for the guy, I'm falling for the felling of having someone. - She just looked at me.
Ava- Yeah.
Me- Ok. - I laid down again.
Ava- Ok? That's all you have to say? You're not mad or anything?
Me- No, I totally understand. I do miss Nate, I miss him a lot, and I couldn't stop thinking about him during the date because I think he was the reason I was so nervous. He was literally the last guy I went on a date with and after that all I did was make out with random guys at prep parties and clubs. So.. yeah, I think you might be right.
Ava- Wow, I didn't think you would agree with me. I'm actually proud of you for recognizing how screwed you are. - I laughed.
Me- Oh, shut up. - I threw a pillow at her and she laughed.
