Chapter 9

I woke up on a bed with Luke and as soon as I realized I pushed him off the bed and he woke up falling on the floor.

Luke- THE FUCK? - He said sitting on the floor and looking at me.
Me- WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Luke- The guys dumped me out of their room.
Me- There wasn't any other room for you to go?
Luke- All of them was full.
Me- Why didn't you sleep on the couch?
Luke- You wanted me to sleep on the couch just so you could sleep alone in this huge bed?
Me- Yup. - I giggled.
Luke- You wouldn't have said this last night.
Me- Of course I would.
Luke- Yeah? Then why did you roll over me during your sleep?
Me- I did not. - I looked at him, chocked.
Luke- Are you sure? - He got on the bed again and came at me. - It sure seemed like you were enjoying it.
Me- I was not. - I was still chocked.
Luke- Yeah, you was. - He put a lock of my hair behind my ear. - It's our secret now. - He whispered and I was just staring at him, completely in chock. And then he started laughing out loud.
Me- You asshole. - I tried to push him but he was too strong and he just kept laughing. - Why would you say that?
Luke- I just wanted to see your face.
Me- Douchebag. - I gave him the finger and he laughed. - Let's go wake the rest of the house. - I got up and left the room, followed by Luke.
Luke- Come on, wouldn't you like to sleep with me?
Me- I don't need to answer that, do I?
Luke- Ouch.

We woke everyone and went downstairs to have brunch, it was almost noon. We were eating and chatting when I heard my phone ringing. I took it and went to the backyard to answer it.

××On the phone××

Me- Hello?
Drew- Thank God, I've been trying to call you.
Me- I was asleep, I'm sorry.. So.. What is it?
Drew- I just wanted to apologise for what happened last night, I was having a really good time and I really wish that that didn't ruined everything.
Me- No, it's ok.
Drew- Really? You sound.. Distant.
Me- I'm not really myself right now, I just woke up. Maybe we should talk later.
Drew- Are you sure everything is okay?
Me- Uhum.
Drew- Ok, I might know you for last than a week but I can totally tell something is wrong.
Me- Listen, I.. um.. I gotta go.
Drew- Am.. What happened?
Me- I'm just.. Not feeling ok. Goodbye. - I hung up.

×× Off the phone ××

My head was a mess, I didn't know in what to believe. I really wish I could think about him the way I used to before the guys opened their mouths but I know that they might be right, and everything is so messed up right now. I think I just need to think better about what I'm doing so I don't do the wrong thing.

I went back to the kitchen and finished my brunch. Then I grabbed my things and asked for one of the guys to take me back home.

As soon as I arrived I took a quick shower and laid down. Ok, I just wouldn't be able to keep these thoughts to myself, I needed to clear things up, so I called him, but he didn't answer. So I put some stupid movie on TV and watched it. I've been feeling so useless these days, all I do is watch TV, eat, drink and go out. FUCK. I can't wait for the classes to start.
I grabbed my book and went to the city's central park to read it. A few minutes after I got there my phone started ringing again. I took it and, of course, it was Drew.

××On phone××

Drew- Hi, I'm sorry I didn't answer your call earlier I was still stuck at work.
Me- Can we talk? I think we should talk.
Drew- Of course. I just got out of the hospital.
Me- The hospital? Are you ok? - I was choc4ed
Drew- Where are you?
Me- At the park, the central park.
Drew- Ok, I'm just gonna grab a coffee, I'll be there in 20.
Me- Ok.

××Off the phone××

FUCK! What if I've beeing implicating with the guy this whole time when he was actually sick? Damn it, I'm such a horrible person. I don't even know what I'm gonna tell him.
I kept thinking about what I was gonna say, until I saw his car stopping by and a guy came out in one of those blue hospital scrubs, I wasn't wearing my glasses and I couldn't see very well but as he was coming closer I saw it was really him. He came to me and tried to give me a kiss but I turned my head away and we kissed my cheek.
Drew- Okay. - He whispered and sat next to me.
Me- So.. Is there something you wanna say to me?
Drew- I'm sorry, I told you, I wish that hadn't happened.
Me- Not that.. I mean.. That too. Is there something else you wanna tell me?
Drew- I don't know, I don't think so..
Me- What the hell, Drew?
Drew- What?
Me- How come we have been out two nights in a row and I don't know anything about you?
Drew- I'm sorry.
Me- Were you planning on tell me that you are a doctor?
Drew- Of course I was, but it never came up.
Me- So? I told you I was going to Med school in the first five minutes I talked to you, and you knew I was gonna be excited about you being a doctor.
Drew- I know.
Me- Is that all you have to say?
Drew- What do you want me to say?
Me- You know everything there is to know about me, Drew, and I know nothing about you. You could be a total freak or a douchebag, how would I know? I fell for this mysterious-guy thing at the beginning, but after what we went through last night I don't think I can be in the dark anymore.
Drew- I should've known this was coming. - He chuckled.
Me- I'm serious. You're a total mystery and I deserve to know something.
Drew- First of all, I'm not a psycho.
Me- You might as well be one, I can't be sure.
Drew- Ok, what do you wanna know?
Me- Something.. Anything.. Everything! - He smiled knowing I was anxious. - Tell me about your work, your hobbies. What you're passionate about, what was your first dog's name, do you shower with cold or hot water..
Drew- You are already thinking of me in the shower? - He smiled and I rolled my eyes.
Me- Just allow me to get to know you.
Drew- Ok. - He said it softly. - I shower with extremely hot water, but sometimes I do cold for the sake of my health - I smiled - my first dog was Tobby and he was a PUG, I like hiking, swimming and just walking around discovering new places. Recently I found this waterfall two cities away from here. So beautiful, ugh. - I just looked at him interested - And.. As you can see, I'm a doctor, I studied at UB too and I'm doing my residency to become a Trauma Surgeon. - I smiled delightfully.
Me- Yeah, that's enough for now.
Drew- Can I get my hello kiss now? - I chuckled and kissed him softly.
Me- I'm sorry for freaking out. - I rubbed my forehead. - So much happened last night, and I guess I was just scared.
Drew- You can chill now, I'm definitely not a psycho or a freak. - I chuckled.
Me- Thank God. - He laughed. - So, how did it go last night? - He sighed deeply
Drew- We did it. - He smiled. - We saved him. - I smiled.
Me- I knew you could do it.
Drew- You didn't even know what I was doing. - We laughed.
Me- But I knew what ever it was you could handle it. - He smiled and kissed me gently.
Drew- I'm so tired.
Me- You didn't go home last night?
Drew- No, I was at the hospital the whole time, the surgery lasted 8 hours and then another patient showed up, I should've left three hours ago when the 12 hours shift ended but I couldn't just leave. - I stared at him delightfully and caressed his face.
Me- You are amazing! - He smiled.
Drew- So you want a ride home or you're gonna stay here?
Me- Nah, I'm going.

He gave me his hand and we got into the car.
