Chapter 11

I woke up with someone playing with my hair. At first I thought it was Ava trying to wake me up but then I opened my eyes and saw him laying next to me with a soft smile on his face.

Me- Nate! - I said excited and hugged him.
Ava- I told you she was gonna be happy.
Me- Of course I am, why wouldn't I be? - They stared at each other. - What?
Nate- Nothing.
Me- I can't believe you are actually here. - I hugged him again and he giggled.
Nate- Of course I am, I told you I was coming.
Me- I know, but I didn't think you were actually going to.
Nate- Well, here I am. - I smiled and he kissed my forehead.
Ava- So, since you're awake, I'm gonna let the two little birds together to talk and go get some coffee. - She got up from her bed.
Me- Can you bring one for me, please? - I made my puppy face and she laughed.
Ava- Sure, you want one too, Nate?
Nate- Yes, please - She nodded and left.
Me- When did you get here?
Nate- Around 5 am.
Me- Five am? - I glanced at the clock next to Ava's bed. - It's almost noon.
Nate- Yeah.
Me- Where did you stay?
Nate- I slept at the airport.
Me- Are you kidding? Why didn't you come here? You could've slept better.
Nate- It was too early, I didn't wanna wake any of you.
Me- I bet you feel like crap. - He nodded.
Nate- Yeah, my back hurts like hell.
Me- See? Dumbass. - I rolled across him and got up. - I'm gonna change, you don't need to see me in my pajamas.
Nate- I already saw you without it. - he smirked and I laughed.
Me- Shut up. - I threw a sock at him and he laughed. - I'm gonna take a quick shower, be right back.
Nate- Can I come with you? - He said standing up.
Me- NATE! - I looked at him shocked.
Nate- Just kidding, just kidding. - He laughed and sat on the bed again.
Me- Ava will probably take a few minutes to come back so if you need anything just suit yourself. - I said grabbing some clean clothes in the drawer.
Nate- Okay.

I got into the bathroom and took a bath real quick, then I brushed my teeth, put my clothes on and I was finally finished.

Me- What do you wanna do today? - I asked walking out of the bathroom but then I saw Nate sleeping and stopped talking.

I sat on Ava's and started scrolling my Instagram page until Ava finally got back.

Me- Finally. - I whispered and she looked at Nate.
Ava- Aw, he's sleeping? - She said closing the door carefully.
Me- Yeah, he was wrecked after the flight.
Ava- Yeah, he told me he slept at the airport. He should've come here. - She gave me my cup and put Nate's on the bedside table.
Me- Right? He said he didn't wanna wake us. - I rolled my eyes and Ava sat next to me. - So stupid. - I looked at him and Ava gave me that look. - What?
Ava- I didn't say anything.
Me- Ava.
Ava- The way you look at him.. It's cute. - I tried to hide the smile and took a sip of the coffee. - How do you feel?
Me- About what?
Ava- About him being here.
Me- I'm glad he came, I really need him here right now, I don't know what's happening but I definitely feel better when he's around. - Ava smiled.
Ava- That's good, right?
Me- Yeah, but I don't really know what this means.
Ava- What do you mean?
Me- I mean, is it bad that I still feel something for him even though I broke up with him not so long ago?
Ava- Of course not, you two are still good, you didn't have a bad fight and nothing too serious happened for you to break up, right?
Me- Yeah, the break up was okay, we're still friends and we care about each other a lot.
Ava- Great, that's definitely a good thing.
Me- Yeah, I think so, I just.. I'm afraid I might be giving him hope, I mean.. I don't know how he feels about us, I don't if he thinks there's still hope.. I don't even know if there's still hope for us.. I just..
Ava- Deep breath, don't freak. You two are gonna sit and talk like two mature grown ups and decide things together, if the final decision is that you can't be together for good then at least you know you'll still have his friendship and that you two still care a lot about each other, which is an amazing thing, but doesn't mean that you work as a couple and that's okay too.
Me- But what if I lose his friendship forever?
Ava- You won't, I'm pretty sure about that. Nate is an amazing person and I know he won't just leave you or forget about you. What you two have is stronger than any distance and any break up. - I smiled.
