Chapter 15: Welcome Home?

Jeremy and Alexandra arrived at Jeremy's house. It was rather large for a single guy to live in.

Jeremy had chosen to drive his Cobra GT 500 to Josh's. He climbed out of it with ease and popped open the trunk. He grabbed Alexandra's two bags and began walking up the stone path to his front door. He opened it and set the bags down by the door then turned around to see what was taking Alexandra so long.

Alexandra cursed at herself as she tried to pull herself out of the car. Since she was so skinny her stomach had grown pretty quickly. When she first found out she was pregnant, she had noticed a tiny bump already appearing.

As Jeremy noticed her struggling he rushed back down to her.

"Thank goodness I have a bigger car." Jeremy said. Alexandra looked at him as he helped her out of the car. They both walked up the stone path and in through the front door.

Jeremy picked up both her bags and began walking towards the stairs.

"If you follow me I'll show you to your room." He said as he began climbing the steps.

Alexandra followed him up the stairs. Once she got up there she followed him down the hall way. He stopped at a door and opened it. He stepped inside and Alexandra followed.

Alexandra gasped at how big the room was and she started walking around. She opened a door and it was a huge walk in closet. She got to another door and opened it. This was the bathroom and she almost fainted just looking at it. It was huge. It had a jacuzzi bathtub and a separate water fall shower. There was a whole counter that had nothing on it but mirrors. On the opposite counter there were two sinks.

"Holy shit." Alexandra whispered. Jeremy walked up behind her.

"Pretty amazing right?" He asked. She nodded her head then stepped out of the bathroom. She then walked to the third door in the bedroom and pulled it open.

On the other side of the door was a medium sized room with a sink and bathtub in one corned and a opposite door on the other side.

"Ummm I was thinking on the way back here that this could be the babies nursery. My room is through that door." Jeremy said. Alexandra stepped into the room and looked around.

"I can imagine it now. She'll love it." She whispered. Jeremy step forward and placed a hand on her stomach.

"Her? You're having a girl?"

"Yes. We're having s girl."

Alexandra smiled at Jeremy and placed her hand over top of his. She then rubbed her back with the other hand and sighed.

"I'm craving chicken tenders smothered in honey mustard."

Jeremy looked at her. Then shook his head in amusement.

"I can order Applebee's to go. They have chicken tenders."

Alexandra's eyes got wide.

"Oh my gosh. With loaded mashed potatoes and cheese broccoli as the side?" She asked. Jeremy laughed.

"If that's what you want than sure."

Jeremy pulled out his phone and ordered their food.

"When will it be ready?" Alexandra asked as her stomach growled.

"About 15 minutes. Wanna ride along?" Jeremy answered.

"Sure."

Alexandra followed him out to the garage and he had 2 other cars. Another Cobra and A Ford Escape.

Jeremy grabbed some keys off a hook and walked over to the Escape. Alexandra walked over and climbed in. She was glad that this was easier to get into.

They drove to Applebee's and waited in there "To go" parking spot for the food. A waitress brought it out to them and took the money. After that Jeremy and Alexandra headed home.

"Alexandra...where's your car?" Jeremy said realizing that earlier he hadn't seen it at Josh's.

"The transmission started slipping so I sold it. I didn't need it anyways and when I needed a car, either Josh or Alex would let me use theirs." She said glancing out the window. They pulled into the driveway and Jeremy parked the Escape back in the garage.

Alexandra slid out of the car and grabbed the food as Jeremy closed and locked up the garage doors.

She walked into the house and stood there trying to remember where the kitchen was. Jeremy walked past her and she began to follow him.

Jeremy walked straight into the kitchen and turned on the lights. Alexandra set the food down then opened each box trying to figure out which box was hers. When she opened Jeremy's box she could see the steak steaming and noticed the sides were the exact same.

"Man I love steak. Hey we get the same sides!" She said. Jeremy chuckled at her and got out silverware.

"Why didn't you get steak then silly?" He asked handing her a fork.

"Well because I'm pregnant I'd have to eat it well done and I don't like well done steaks they're too tough. I like mediums." She answered pouring honey mustard onto her chicken.

"I see. Hey Alexandra...do you want some chicken with your honey mustard?"

Alexandra glared at him and began digging in. They ate in silence and once Alexandra was done eating she yawned.

"Tired?" Jeremy asked throwing away their boxes and putting they're silverware in the dish washer.

Alexandra nodded and started to walk up the stairs. Jeremy turned off the lights and made sure all the doors were locked and headed up afterwards.

She was already in her room and he watched as the light flicked off. He then knocked and opened the door a crack.

"You can come in." Alexandra said. Jeremy opened the door more and stood in the doorway. Alexandra was folding the blankets back so she could climb into bed. She was wearing a pair of pj pants that Jeremy knew that they used to be Josh's. She had on a black camisole that fit tightly to her making her belly look even bigger. She crawled into bed then and pulled the covers over her.

"So I was thinking that tomorrow we could go into town and start getting stuff for her nursery and other things she'll need." Jeremy said.

Alexandra smiled and shook her head.

"That sounds great. I'll see you in the morning. Night." She said snuggling into the blankets.

"Night." Jeremy said closing her door and heading to his room. He stripped down to his boxers and climbed into bed.

Josh laid in his bed and dreaded the emptiness of the house. He had gotten so used to Alexandra being here that now the house felt lonely. He sighed turning over and picking up his phone.

-Miss you A! Night!

After a few minutes his screen lit up and he picked up his phone.

-Miss you too joshy. Night.

Josh snuggled down and tried to sleep. After about an hour he finally passed out.
