Falling for Fred Weasley

Chapter 5: Back to Class

September 2 - October 30

The next morning, Daisy met Fred and George in the Great Hall for breakfast. They both looked exhausted.

Daisy said in a sing-songy voice "Morning boys! you two look like you are sleepwalking!"

George glared and her and said, "thats because i am."

Fred said, "Some coffee would be great."

Daisy smiled at both of them. "Look, i already got both of you a cup, just how you like it too."

Fred looked at her and gave her a smile, "you are the best!"

George said, "I could kiss you" with a laugh 

They all laughed but after George said that, Daisy couldnt help but look at Fred. She didn't notice him staring at her all breakfast. 

The next weeks flew by. All the teachers had to put up with lots of mischief from the trio, including rain in a classroom and some frogs, and of course the twins specialty, the occasional fireworks. 

In lots of classes, they got separated. that wouldn't stop them from passing notes. Fred loved sending bird notes to Daisy. She couldnt stop herself from wondering if this was some sort of flirting. surely not, right?

Cedric was still pursuing Daisy for the most part, but she just treated him nicely, nothing else. 

For some reason Daisy was struggling in Herbology so most nights,  she would be up late finishing her homework for that class. Fred realized this and would stay up late with her and help her, even if he didn't know what he was doing.

Again, this made Daisy question if this was just friendly or something else. How did she even feel about him? Whenever his hand would brush against hers, she swears she feels something electric. Its weird. 

One cold October morning in Potions class, Daisy was freezing. She was shivering. George noticed this and said she could wear his jacket, but then Fred interjected and took his off immediately. George met his eye with furrowed eyebrows and a confused look, but fred simply just nodded and said he was hot. 

she put it on, although it was quite oversized on her and said, "Thank you fred, even though its a little big." and giggled. 

after that class angelina walked up to her and asked. "is that Fred Weasley's jacket you're wearing? what are you doing with it. thats weird."

daisy replied, "Uh, yeah, i was just really cold. Snape keeps it as cold as a dungeon down there."

angelina gave her a weird look and said, "hm, right." and walked away. 

Daisy wondered what that was about...she had heard that Angelina supposedly had a thing for fred... but then got distracted when fred and george picked her up and laughed and she said, "what are you two doing?"

George replied with a mischievous grin, "Its a surprise." 

"well i have feet you know...and can walk" Daisy laughed 

fred smirked, "its definitely more fun this way. i like to see you squirm sometimes." with a loud laugh. 

Daisy replied, "where are you two taking me?"

They carried her until George said, "Here."

They placed her infront of Dumbledore's office. She whispers, "what in the world are we doing here." 

Fred took something that looked like an ear out of his pocket. "Its a prototype of course but we present to you,"

"extendable ears!" George joins in. 

George continues, "We thought we would try to get any inside scoop about the Triwizard tournament. lets try it out."

they took the ear and slid it under the door. 

"Yes they will be arriving on the 30th." 

the twins quickly pulled the ear back. 

fred said, "sounds like the other school will arrive tomorrow" with a mischievous grin.

Daisy laughed quietly, "wow guys that is actually very impressive. but lets get out of here before we get detention for the rest of the year!"

"Right!" the twins said and they ran behind you. 

And the other school did in fact come the next day, October 30th. Everyone started putting their names in the Goblet of Fire, but they had to be 17.

Fred and George were obviously very angry about this and tried to anyways, even with discouragement from Daisy. "You to oafs are going to end up on fire or something!" she exclaimed.

she was right in the sense that it did not work. But, she did see the Cedric Diggory entered. Fred noticed too, "of course, Mr. Perfect is putting his name in."
