Once Seungjun got released from the hospital he wasn't allowed back to practice, his body was still too weak so the school allowed him to return home, but San was a little too worried and asked permission to accompany the boy.
They took the train all the way back to Seungjun's hometown, the boy slept the whole way back home and somehow San couldn't help but admire the boy's features as he was sleeping.
He had a cute button nose and his lips somewhat reminded San of a cat the way the corners went up, he eyes although they were closed San could still remember them being a hazel brown and they were somewhat doe-like.
He felt his heart race a little, he felt his ears and cheeks heat up a little.
'Snap out of it Choi San, he is your friend" San scolded himself in his head, but somehow his eyes kept going down to the boy's lips and although he kept fighting with himself about it, and that he shouldn't feel this for his friend he still couldn't stop his heart from beating fast.
He kissed the top of the boy's head in the end and turned to look out the window, trying to distract himself as much as possible.
When they arrived a lady came to pick them up, San immediately recognized her from the video calls they had often, she was Areum, one of Seungjun's mothers.
"Hello baby," Areum said and hugged Seungjun, "and welcome Sani," she said and hugged him, he happily returned it.
The three went to the car and Areum drove the two boys home. When they arrived at home they went in and unpacked, Areum made them lunch, in the end, Seungjun wore himself out so San walked him to his room so he could go lay down, he reassured the boy that it would be okay and that he would be fine.
When Seungjun fell asleep San patted the boy's head and covered him with the blanket, he left the room and closed the bedroom door behind him, he went back downstairs to the living room.
"Is he asleep?" Areum asked San.
"Yep, I'm happy he is getting rest," San told her as he sat down next to her.
"Hmm, you need to rest as well, you have such dark rings under your eyes San, how are you feeling?" she asked the boy, taking his hand in hers and placing the other hand on top of his.
"Hmm I am too worried to sleep, I need to know what to do next, I need to know how to support him through this, the news shook us both, but I can tell it got to him a lot more, in the short time he has been at the school I can tell he came to love what he was doing but now... with this will he really be okay?" San told her.
"Seungjunnie isn't the strongest mentally but once he finds something he enjoys he goes for it, so just support him no matter what okay? Show him you are there for him and that you won't disappear no matter what and everything should be fine" she told San with a motherly smile.
"Mama I'm home" a voice called from the front door.
"Oh Gyuminnie baby come to the living room," she said and winked at San, the boy smiled happily that he could finally meet the boy.
When Gyumin walked into the room he almost yelled, he slapped his hands over his mouth to stop himself.
"San hyung" the boy squeaked out, San almost laughed but he got up and walked closer to the boy and held out his arms, the boy ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
"Wah it's wonderful to finally meet you Gyumin-ah," San told the boy.
"Where is hyung?" the boy asked once he broke the hug.
"He went to lay down a little, he is still worn out," San said sadly, Gyumin looked at him with a small pout, and San could see the worry in Gyumin's eyes.
"Gyuminnie do you have homework? Let me help you" San said to the boy trying to distract him from his worries, the boy nodded a little, San sent Areum a smile and went to the dining room with the boy.
The two worked on Gyumin's homework and when they were done they went outside, Gyumin had a lot of questions he wanted to ask San, a lot of them being about his big brother, he was curious just how his brother changed while he was gone.
Areum started on making dinner while the two boys chatted.
"San hyung, you're my brother's producer, right? But as a friend what do you think of him?" Gyumin asked.
"Hmm let's see, as a friend, I think that Junnie is amazing honestly, he was really shy at first when he arrived and he seemed so unsure but he really started to open up to us, and somehow I found myself constantly taking care of him, our friendship has grown a lot, when we weren't training together we would go out to cafe's or go to the mall to just hang out sometimes we slept the day away in his or my room, but to me, he is more than just a friend, he is a rival who pushes me forward so I can do my best, he is someone who brightens up my day and someone I can't imagine my life without," San told the boy.
Gyumin smiled a little, "Hyung you make it sound like you are in love with him"
San laughed a little and patted Gyumin's head "You know Minnie, I might just be" Gyumin let out a small gasp not believing what he just heard.
"I think since the first time I saw him at the concert up until now, the feelings have been there for a long time. I just didn't acknowledge them until recently," San said looking up at the sky, Gyumin's smile grew more and more.
The two talked a little more, or well Gyumin interrogated San about his crush, Sure he loved San, but he loved San the idol, he didn't know San as a person and he wanted to be sure that San would be the right guy for his brother before he got too excited about the new information he apprehended.
