I'm so glad I've gotten to copy my notes and I hope Jacie got hers done as well. At least I had like 30 minutes to study ahead of class before Alex 'Revengly Badged' into my room after apologizing to him earlier. His words not mine. Is that even a word?!
Well, I got downstairs to meet everyone already at the dining table looking at me expectantly like as if I was supposed to feed them or something. "Why are you looking at me like that, do you perhaps want me to the honor of eating first. Awnnnn so cute" I cooed in something like a British tone. I got a few eyes rolls from you guess who and I stifled a laugh.
"We bless this food in Jesus name" Dad prayed and we all responded with an "Amen" while closing eyes. You see in my family ever since we were little it has always been a tradition for us to pray before we start eating. My parents believed in good manners and trained us well as they're really strict Christians at times. Because we moved to America doesn't mean we should forget what they taught us back there and become astray. My mum trusts Alex and I to always behave like good children and give help people that need them. They also believe in charity in which I also like. It hurts me to see that some people are really suffering and then some people see them and just ignore them.
Sometimes I think I'm too nice for my own good and I'm also planning on building a non governmental organisation, an orphanage and a place for homeless people when I'm older. I have a lot of dreams accomplish and I only pray God gives me the grace to fulfill them and also help me. I can't do it on my own.
So I see mum made mac and cheese well. Seriously I wasn't expecting it to be this delicious, not because I think mum won't know how to make well but because it's just so good. You don't even want to know about Alex, he ate like two more rounds . It seems to me that she made it in abundant and I won't hesitate to microwave it if I'm hungry. I thanked her for the food and offered to wash the dishes. When I was done I pecked both my parents goodnight and headed for Alex's room since I wasn't in the mood to sleep but to disturb.
A wicked smirk appeared on my lips before I slipped into Alex's room. I decided to play a prank on him, so I crawled under his bed and waited for him to come back upstairs. If he didn't come anytime soon, I think I would die of the stinky socks smell under here which made me almost puked all the mac and cheese I just ate. I made sure to put off the lights before I had crawled under this stink zone so that he would be confused for a minute.
Finally, he opened the door and I heard he was humming to play date by Melanie Martinez. Corky much.
"I'm very sure I didn't switch off my lights when I was leaving" he paused "Whatever " he said, his voice slightly muffled because I was under the bed. He sat on his bed and let his leg hang from it. Time to make my move. I crawled a little bit out and tickled his feet.
"Ahhh!, what the hell was that?" he inquired to nobody in particular. I thought he was a big boy, I almost laughed with the way he sounded like a seven year old. "It was probably nothing". I heard him sigh and proceeded to make another move. I gently wrapped my fingers around both of his foot making him jerk away as fast as I had done it. The next thing I heard was an ear screeching scream and the sound of a door thrown open.
I couldn't help it again, I burst into a fit of laughter. Big boy my ass, oh my goodness. I should have recorded it, I would have forever teased him. I was still laughing when I got downstairs to hear him reporting to mum about this.
"I swear mum, so-someone is under my be-bed" he stammered. I resulted into laughing again and this time they all heard me. You should see the look on his face like as if he had just seen a ghost.
"Alex, oh alex" I clutched my stomach as I was already having minor pains because I was laughing too much. "You should see your pretty face". He face lit up in realization and a frown took over.
