I'm Just Me

Chapter 9

The tingles were back, and I couldn't breathe because I didn't know what Jai was about to do and I didn't know what he was thinking.

He walked towards me and just looked at me. I just looked at the floor because I thought it felt awkward to just have someone staring at you.

Suddenly to my surprise he hugs me.

He smells s'good

I hug him back.

Suddenly Jazzy and Cheyenne walk in the girls bathroom.

"Well look who we have here...," Cheyenne looks me up and down.

"Jai, why are you in the girls bathroom with her?" Jazzy asked angrily.

"Because I can," Jai said angrily back.

"Actually you can't because you are not a girl and you do not like her," Jazzy got up into Jai's face.

"Jazzy, for the thousandth time, we aren't dating and we never will be," Jai says slowly to Jazzy like she was a 2 year old.

"We'll see about that," Cheyenne laughs.

"What is that suppose to mean?" I ask Cheyenne with my arms cross.

"Oh, um, an inside joke," They both start cracking up in laughter.

I roll my eyes and walk out the door and right when I do, the bell for the next class rings.

"Avery!" I hear Jai's voice and look back. "Actually meet me at the library after school!" he yells and then smiles.

"oka-," I got interrupted by Scott's voice.

"Hey Avery!" I see Scott run up to me so I turn away from Jai .

ugh, I don't know what I'm doing

"Hi Scott," I was suddenly not so admired by him. I was confused and I didn't know who to like.

"Did you get in trouble for coming to class late?" Scott asks me.

"Well my chemistry teacher is just naturally a b**** so you know," I say which makes Scott laugh.

"Same for me pretty much," he laughs again. "So can we meet at the teen lounge after school?"

The teen lounge was this place where teens 15 and up would go to hang out without little kids being allowed. I've never been there though because it kinda intimidated me.

I couldn't accept though. I had to go to the library after school to meet Jai and I didn't want to break my promise to Jai AGAIN.

"Well I actually had to meet someone at the library after school to do some research for a chemistry project," I explain.

"Oh, we'll just do it another day," he smiles. "See ya later."

He walks off to his class

I'm an idiot.

I never thought I would have boy problems. No one ever thought that actually.

As the day went by it was time to go to drama class. Before I went there I asked the office to change my schedule and they said they would be glad to do so.

I went into the drama class and the teacher looked furious.

"What are you doing here!" he yelled.

Everyone began to stare but I blocked all the nerves.

"Um, I have a slip that I can change my schedule because the principal thought it was stupid that you sent me to the office so I'm gonna sit down, thank you very much," I walked past him and flipped my hair which made everyone laugh.
