Chapter 10

As me and Jai were kicked out of the library, we just both had an embarrassed look on our faces. A lot of people were watching us get kicked out.

We ran out the door and then just looked at each other.

Randomly we just both cracked up laughing.

My head falls on his shoulder while I laugh and he wraps his arms around my waist.

I wrap my arms around his waist also and we walked into the parking lot like this while laughing.

Is this a dream...or am I totally living this.

"Jai, I miss when we were best friends," I look at him and saw him smile.

"Me too..," he continues, "I was an idiot."

"Maybe I should come over," I change the subject.

"Good idea," he smiles widely.

His smile isn't so bad either...

I get in his car with him and I felt like I was in heaven. I could smell Jai's scent in the car surrounding me and yes he smells good.

It's not weird..I just like his smell. I could sniff him all day......see normal

As Jai was driving I could see him staring at me.

Ugh boys make the most awkwardest moments ...

"Jai, this isn't my day to die in a car crash," I say making him look back at the rode.

"Oh sorry, it's just..it's just-I don't know...," he chuckles softly.

I begin to blush knowing that Jai Daniel's likes me. The boy I thought would forever just be my best friend.

Who knew that I would love him, or that he would like me.

OMG he told me that he liked me at the library!!!

Right now, life would be perfect if Scott didn't have to be so cute. I would've been able to just love Jai and date him, then marry him, then have babies with him, the die crumply and old together.

I snap out of my daydream when Jai says my name.

"Huh?" I was confused.

"I said we're at my house," he gets out and opens the door for me.

I get out and look mesmerized by his house.

"I remember coming here a lot," I laugh.

We walk in together and I see a lot of stuff that I remember.

"I was gonna have pizza for dinner so do you want to stay for dinner?" he asks. "Just ask your mom."

I look at the ground remember that mom still hasn't came back home after making that dude go unconscious.

"Is your mom not home?" Jai comes close to me and puts his arm around the back of my neck causing me to rest my head on his chest.

He brings me over to his couch and he keeps his arm around my neck.

"I remember how you you would complain about her being gone all the time," he pulls me closer to him.

I stare into his eyes and he stares into mine.

OMG this moment is making me have butterflies but it seems more natural . I'm not scared, I'm anxious to just...KISS HIM!

We both lean forward at the same time and he puts both of his hands on my waist while my arms are wrapped around his neck.

We both continue to lean in but suddenly Jai's mother comes into living room.

"Hey Jai, who's this?" His mom asks making us both break apart and look at her.

"It's Avery, mom," Jai said looking very annoyed.

"Oh my goodness, I haven't seen you in a while!" She screams.

Jai rolls his eyes.

"Calm down, can she stay for dinner?" Jai asks.

"Of course, this darling was my favorite person in the whole world!" She yells happily.

I smile fakely but really feeling awkward.

"You wanna come upstairs?" Jai looked very stressed.

"Sure," I begin to go up the stairs. "See ya later Jai's mama."

I used to always call her that and we'd always leave when she came  because she's very energetic.

We get into Jai's room and he had a balcony.

"I remember that balcony!" I grin.

"Yeah but we would act pretty stupid on it," Jai laughs.

"Oh yeah, we can't forget about that incident," I say and we both start laughing loudly.

One day we were pretending to play spy and we had to jump on top the balcony rails and get to the roof. When I got up there I misstepped and fell backwards and I knew if I moved at all then I'd fall. So Jai came to me and pulled me in and hugged me because he was really scared. We were in third grade when that happened.

We both walk onto the balcony and put our hands on the rails. The sun was going down and the sky was orange, red, yellow, white, and a tint of pink. Night was about to come and I heard cricket that I'd usually hear at night.

It was silent and peaceful. All the things that I need right now.

I smiled at the sight of the colors in the sky and suddenly Jai put finger under my chin and turned my head towards him. Without hesitation he grabbed my waist and pulled my body towards him.

He gently and slowly set his lips on mine and kissed me. His eyes were closed when I opened mine and I quickly closed mine up when he started to look again me.

OMG I'M kissing JAI!!!

When we released from the kiss, he hugged me tightly.

"I love you Jai," I say while we're still hugging.

"And you don't know how much I love you," Jai continues to keep me wrapped in his arms.
