I'm Just Me

Chapter 12

...Everyone was looking at me.

They were laughing..

I didn't know what to do because Pretty much everyone had their phones and they were looking at them.

"I didn't write that," I cry.

Everyone continues to laugh.

"Well it looks like you did," someone comes up to me and shows me their phone.

"You don't understand," I start to walk away.

"Oh, you couldn't stop yourself from getting drunk could you?" Someone shouts and they all laugh.

I run away before I could I hear another thing.

I rush down the hall and headed for the door but before I could reach it Jai was on one side of the hall and Scott was on the other. they were both blocking the front door.

Um...

I try to think of what to do but the only thing I could think of was to burst through the door.

I continued to run toward the door and pushed it open but two voices called my name.

"Avery!" Jai and Scott said in unison.

They both ran out the door with me.

I tried to run away but they were way too fast for me.

"Why would you write that?!?" Scott yelled.

"I didn't write it!" I try.

"And I thought I loved you..," Scott says turning away from me and into the parking lot.

"Come on Scott, you should believe me," I yell to try and get him to come back.

Scott continued to walk and didn't even look back.

I turned to Jai and spread my arms out to hug him but he backs away.

"I can't do this," Jai's eyes looked furious. "You should've at least told me."

"Im sorry," I paused," But-," he interrupted me.

"There's no excuses," he said like he was about to cry. I'm not sure what he was feeling like but I know that he was totally upset.

"But-" I try again.

"Just stop! I tried, and I'm sorry that I left you but now I'm glad," he continued,"You just, betrayed me. is this revenge or something? I know you never said that we were together but you're just playing with my head and my heart. I loved you Avery, and that was ever since we were little! I always thought you were the nicest person ever and I'm sorry that I just left you like an idiot in middle school. And I'm sorry that you thought dying was the best choice but I think I should stay away. I thought this was my chance to show you that I love you but no. just don't even talk to me, ok?" He walks away.

Oh my god...but I didn't do ANYTHING

"Jai, please just listen," I whine with tears coming down my eyes vigorously.

"I said just don't talk to me!" He yells and walks away faster.

"It wasn't me," I say weakly. I fell on my knees and started to sob.

I can't believe this

Jai has always loved me so all I had to do was talk to him but instead I did all kinds of stupid shit that caused this..

I buried my head in my hands as I sobbed.

I was in the middle of the street just laying on the ground.

"I have no one!" I scream as loud as I could.

I then fell asleep.

When I was awaken all I saw was the night sky.

I looked around and the parking lot was vacant and the school was pitch black.

Great, EVERYONE just left me

I stood up and wiped drool and tears from my face.

I began to walk home in the pitch black night.

It was so quiet that you could hear a penny drop.

It scared me.

As I got closer to my home, I heard rustling noises.

"Hello?" I was very frightened.

*more rustling noises*

I'm not gonna be like the people in movies who check the bushes at night.

So I ran.

When I looked back I saw two black figures. They were laughing and walking towards me.

"Hey what time is it?" I yell.

They just continued to laugh creepily.

I guess that's my cue to run!

I run as fast as my legs would go.

Obviously they had to be in track or something because they caught up toe in 5 seconds.

They grabbed me tightly pulling my arms around my back.

"Stop!" My voice sounded muffled as they stuffed a bag over my head.

The laughed once again...and I knew I could recognize their voices...
