i remember when i was a little kid
i used to love playing pretend
i was able to be
whoever i wanted to be
i was genuinely happy
god,
i loved being a kid
but now im older
im not a kid anymore
and playing those silly games
is not of interest to me
but for some reason
i am still playing pretend
