“Zenair isnt even playing with us. Don’t involve him.” pahayag ko.
“Oh he is,” saad ni Undefeated, “He is worse than me,” ibinigay ni Undefeated yung dice sa frontman, “Your boss, your Zenair, is always gambling and he found a kindred spirit in you.”
“Zenair is usually busy handling other business.” anas ko.
“But gambling is what he enjoyed the most,” sagot ni Undefeated. Nakapuwesto na muli ang dice, hinihintay ang taya namin. “Your kind is rare, Willow.”
A woman like you is rare, tanda kong binanggit rin ito sa akin ni Zenair. Hindi na lang ako nagkomento dahil excited na akong simulan ang laro, “Who should go first?”
“Let’s mention the color of our bet at the same time.” sabi ni Undefeated.
Napataas ang isa kong kilay, “Paano kung pareho tayo ng kulay?”
“We’ll settle it if it comes to that point. For now, let’s reveal our bet in one, two—green!”
“Red!” magkasabay naming binanggit ang kulay na tatayaan.
Napatawa muli ng malakas si Undefeated. Undefeated wiped some tears brought out by laughter and I caught a clear glimpse of Undefeated’s previously shadowed eyes.
A gray so pale.
Silver eyes.
Pamilyar.
“I’m so good at this,” komento ni Undefeated, “Let’s start, shall we?”
“You..” may pagtataka sa aking boses, “How are you related to Zenair?”
“If you win,” napahagikhik muli siya. Saglit lang pero nang-aasar ang tono. “..maybe I will tell you.”
“You will tell me.” hamon ko sa kaniya.
