KING'S POV

'Why is it so dark? Where am I? I was about to pick up Ai'Ning at the bus station then....ohhhh. I remember now! I was already going near him when something hit me. Then everything went black after that.'

I slowly opened my eyes only to be blinded by those white lights and ceilings. Okay, so I'm now sure that I'm at the hospital.

I tried to get up but I felt my body aching all over which made my attempt to get up fail. I tried to look around the room only to realize that there was someone sitting on my left side and was currently sleeping with his head on the side of my bed.

'So Ai'Ning was here.'

I carefully looked at his sleeping face and can't help but admire how innocent and peaceful he looks right now. 'He looks cute. I want to pinch his cheeks'

A small smile appeared on my face and I can't help but place my hand on his head and gently caress his hair. He was still sleeping peacefully and I was admiring his face when I felt a throbbing pain on my head.

I decided to touch it and felt a bandage placed on the right side of my head. So I guess I also got wounded here. Seems like I had some stitches here.

'Wait.....wait!!!!! I had some stiches?! They used some needles and stiched me?! Aishhh...how could you let them do that Ai'Ning?! You know how I hate needles.'

I can't help but frown at the thought. I know it has to be done as part of the treatment but the kid in me just can't help but get annoyed at the idea itself. An idea just popped into my head which made me smile a bit.

'Since you let them do that to me then I'll get even with you Ai'Ning.'

I decided to wake up Ai'Ning but caressing his hair even more. I saw him moving and saw him lift his head and rub his eyes with his palm. 'Awww...that's really cute. But nope. I'd still get back at you Ai'Ning.'

I looked at him with a blank face. He seemed to be shocked and was trying to organize his thoughts so I decided to speak first and proceed with my plan to tease Ai'Ning.

"Who are you."

Ai'Ning seemed to be too stunned with what I said and it was almost as if his eyes are almost gonna bulge out from its place. I was trying to hold my laughter and maintain a straight face. 'Why are you so cute Ai'Ning?'

I just saw him recover from the shock. He already bowed his head and slumped his shoulders. Then I realized that his shoulders were shaking a bit.

'Is he crying? He's crying!!! Sh*t....sh*ttttt!!!! Okay I think I may have gone too far???😅'

I decided to stop my teasing and put him out of his misery. I can't stand to see him cry anymore. I'm really stupid sometimes.

"Ai'Ning I was just joking. Are you crying? C'mon, don't cry anymore. Sorry it was just a joke. I won't do it again."

I was about to speak some more when I saw him stand up. The next thing I know was I was being engulfed in a very warm hug.

Ai'Ning was hugging me as he placed his head on the crook of my neck. It was just a simple gesture but I somehow felt all my worries fading away.

I was too stressed for the past few days thinking of Ai'Ning but his hug seemed to have removed any negative thoughts that I have in my mind.

This was what I need all along. Ai'Ram was all I need. This hug, his prescense, this is what makes me feel complete. He makes me feel a certain level of comfort and warmth that I haven't felt from anybody else.
