I lied.

It's the night before September 1st. It came a lot quicker than I thought it would. I had all my stuff packed, and I had my wand and clothes. Eris was on my bed sleeping, and Athena was perched on my desk. I had trained Athena not to peck people. She was getting better at it. She still didn't like many people other than me. She loved my mom though. Eris was still very troublesome. I decided to let her roam around instead of keeping her locked up in a cage all the time. When she wasn't causing any trouble, she was actually very sweet. She was smart and easy to train.

I finished packing the last of my stuff and then set Athena in her cage. I laid down on my bed and Eris cuddled up towards me.

"Goodnight Athena, Goodnight Eris." I said as I turned off my light, falling into a deep sleep.

It was 5 years later, and I was soaring through the sky on a broomstick. Suddenly a large ball flew right in front of me at full speed almost hitting my face. I looked around and saw someone yelling at me and pointing something. I couldn't hear him over the noise of cheering. I looked around the huge pitch and saw the tiniest flicker of gold 10 feet in front of me. As soon as I saw it, it disappeared. I flew to the place I saw it, and out of the corner of my eye I could see it in the air. I flew towards it at full speed and it flew away. I chased it but soon enough someone else was next to me trying to catch the golden ball. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a large ball coming at me. I flew up, making the ball miss me by an inch and hit the other person right in the face. They fell off their broom, but quickly got back up. I kept going up, the opposite way of the golden ball to trick the other person into thinking I was following it. It worked. They started to follow me and at last second, I made a sharp turn right where the edge of the arena was. The ball was flying right towards me. I swooped down dodging another ball. I stood up on the broom and reached out my fingers. I mentally thanked my mom for making me do Ballet as a kid, so I had good balance. I was so close to catching it. I could feel the air vibrating around the ball. I decided I wasn't going to get anywhere staying like this. I took a deep breath and jumped. The crowd went silent, as I fell. I could feel the wind all around me as I fell 100 feet below. It was so peaceful. It felt like I was just soaring through the sky. Right before I would have landed on the ground headfirst something caught me. I felt myself get lifted up about 2 feet and slowly dropped me making it less painful than falling 100 feet. It was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Then, I realized my right hand was curled up like I fist. I opened my fist to see a small golden ball in my hand. I lifted it up into the sky and the crowd cheered. My eardrums felt like they were about to burst, but I didn't care. My smile took up my whole face, as I ran towards my team and we all hugged each other.

"APH!!!" My mother screamed into my ear.

I jumped up from my bed "IM AWAKE MOTHER NO NEED TO YELL" I wiped the tired from my eyes and looked around confused.

"Hurry up and get dressed. You have to be at the station by 10:50 for the first day of your school. The Hogwarts Express leaves at 11 am sharp." Mother said sternly.

I checked my Calendar. September 1st, 1991. Oh my god. First day of Hogwarts. I had the best dream ever. I checked the time and saw that it was 10:15 "Crap I'm gonna be late." I thought to myself.

I ran to the bathroom and showered. By the time I was done it was 10:30. I ran downstairs and had a glass of orange juice and a waffle.

"Hurry we have to leave in 10 minutes." Dad said grabbing his keys.

I ran upstairs and picked up Eris. "Come on girl, I know you hate being in your crate, but it won't be for long, I promise." I slowly set her down in her crate and locked the door. I looked for Athena and realized she was already in her cage. "Good girl." I picked up my suitcases and put it in the car. I ran back upstairs and grabbed the cages Eris and Athena were in and ran to the car.

"let's go I don't want to miss the train!!" I yelled at my parents.

After about 10 minutes we arrived at the train station. I checked the time and saw it was 10:45. Great, 15 minutes to look for the train. I walked over to platform 9 and looked for 9 ¾ but only saw 10. I looked at my parents confusingly and they laughed.

"you have to run into that brick wall." Father said as he pointed at a regular wall.

I stared at him. "What?"

My mother rolled her eyes and ran towards the wall and disappeared. I stared at the wall in awe.

"Well come on then, don't want to be late. Its easier to go towards it while running." Father said right before running towards the wall and disappearing.
