My Hero Academia - Some Things Change

Agitation

"Hey! Pink Eyes!" Bakugo came storming up to Hali in the hall.

"Hmm? Oh, hey Bakugo, what's--?"

He slammed a hand into the wall next to her.

"We really have to stop meeting like this," she chided him, giving him a slight smile, not sure what was up with him today.

"Don't play coy with me!" His eyes seemed to be on fire.

"Hey, what's got you all riled up today? Did you get in another fight with Deku?"

"Shut up! What the hell do you know about anything!?!"

Something's not right...but it's not safe to evaluate him here. She looked around to see if anyone was in sight. Once it was clear, she placed a hand on Bakugo's shoulder. "Teleport."

They were teleported to her selected location, a small cabin in the woods owned by her family. Bakugo didn't even seem to notice that their location had changed. He growled at her and punched the wall.

"Bakugo! What's wrong?" She reached out and checked his pulse. His skin was a little warm and his pulse was faster than it should be.

He smacked her hand away. "I don't want to talk!" He sank to his knees and put a hand on his head.

She dropped down to kneel in front of him. "So what do you want?"

"I don't know! It feels like...someone else is in my head!"

"...Okay." She put her forehead against his. Her eyes began to glow, but she was attacked by black electricity that shot out of him.

He cried out in pain. She placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hold on a little longer." She put her forehead against his again and closed her eyes. "Soul Search."

When she opened her eyes again she was surrounded by darkness. Okay, now to find Bakugo. She looked around and saw him lying on the ground. Black electricity was preventing her from reaching him. "Purify!" She normally used that power to cure villain-caused ailments, but she had assumed correctly that it would work to at least temporarily clear a path.

She knelt down next to him. "Bakugo, you have to wake up." He didn't respond. She leaned down and nuzzled his nose.

He batted at her. "Quit it." He jolted up. "Where are we?"

"In your mind, basically. You'll notice that it's dark right now. There's someone else here trying to block your ability to think on your own. You have to force them out. I can't do it."

"Alright then, I"ll just blast the hell out of 'em!"

"Bakugo, wait!" she called out too late and was blasted out of his mind along with the attacker. The force of the blasts knocked her back into her physical body and into the wall behind her. She slumped to the ground. Bakugo...
