Once the school was all cleaned up from the Cataclysm attack, the teachers decided the students should have a day at the beach for all of their hard work. Bakugo was in his room making sure he had everything he'd need when there was a knock on his door.

"Who is it and what the hell do you want?!?"

Hali opened the door. "Is that your usual snippet when someone knocks on your door, or is today just special?" She walked over and leaned down so she was eye level with him while he was packing his bag. He glanced over at her, and got an eyeful of her bikini top.

He jolted back. "The hell are you standing so close for!?!" He looked around his room, pretty much at anything except for her. Stupid beach trip! Why the hell couldn't she just wear her school swimsuit!?!

He noticed the shirt he'd been wearing before changing for the beach hanging on the back of his chair. He walked over and snagged it up before going back over to her and pulling it over her head.

She cocked her head at him, but put her arms through the sleeves anyay. He refused to look at her as he finished packing. She stared at him curiously. "Should I go change?"

"Do whatever the hell you want." He zipped up his bag.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "You're crankier than usual today."

"Am not!" He glared at her.

"Bakugo..." She looked at him, concern on her face.

He let out a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I'm fine, okay? I'm just tired."

Her eyes dropped to the floor. "Nightmares?"

He had raised a hand to touch her on the shoulder, but he curled it into a fist and lowered it to his side at her words. She noticed his actions out of the corner of her eye. Tears began to fall on the ground.

"Hali..." He unclenced his fist and reached his hand out to her again.

"I'm sorry!" She vanished in a Teleport glow.

"Hali!" He kicked the thing nearest to him, sending it flying across the room. Stupid! I shouldn't have said anything. He had no ideas as to where she would have gone. He checked her dorm, but she wasn't there.

"Bakugo! It's time to load the buses!" Iida called to him.

Bakugo shoved his hands in his pockets and grumpily boarded the bus. His eyes widened when he saw Hali sitting on their bus. He hesitantly took the open seat next to her. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words would come to him, so he closed it before anyone could try to snap off a fish out of water joke.

One of her hands was resting on her leg. He loosely laced his fingers with hers, not knowing what else to do. He let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding when she squeezed his hand reassuringly.

The beach they were heading to was about an hour away. He began nodding off barely five minutes after the bus started moving. Hali shifted a little and made him lay down on his side, using her lap as a pillow. So...tired...

He awoke with a jolt as he was thrown out of his seat. The bus seemed to be on fire. Hali teleported them out of it while Todoroki and Deku grabbed anyone who couldn't move.

Kirishima, Mina, Kaminari, and Hali had burn wounds. Why am I fine? I feel...so...heavy...He collapsed onto the road.

"Kacchan!" Deku started to run over, but Hali held a hand up to stop him.

"Everyone stay back!" Suddenly Bakugo's Explosion crackles began to fizzle all around him. "Barrier!" Hali created a transparent wall between Bakugo and the rest of the class. A huge explosion rocked the ground, but no one was injured.
