Draco Malfoy: The boy who loved

The boy who loved

   The boy who loved, was born by Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy in the Malfoy Manor. The boy was born with the name Draco Malfoy. Exactly 10 years after the first war. Not to be mistaken with Grindelwalds war, no of course not. The war between the dark lord, Lord Voldemort, started when he killed the Potters. Lily and James Potter, leaving behind their son Harry Potter (but this story isn't about him). Draco, was born in innocence of course. Like any other child he knew nothing of hate. He was born of love not knowing of his parents faults or anyone's faults for that matter. He was taught to be hateful and spiteful of course. For, traits like hating mud bloods or even Muggles had to be learned. Or better yet, taught, by his father.
   As Draco grew he played with expensive toys bought by his parents. Spent days playing in the garden filled with black roses. He spent hours crawling around after his father. Even while he was working.  Whatever did his father do for work? Of course we know he was the school governor for Hogwarts ... but after hours? What was he lurking around his manor doing? What secrets were he hiding? But of course Lucius Malfoy didn't show very much affection to the young Draco. So as Draco spent hours of the day trying to get his fathers attention. Lucius spent that same amount of time ignoring him.
   Everything was normal. Draco had eaten and was being put down for his nap. Nobody was expecting the news. That Lily and James Potter son, Harry, has survived an attack from Lord Voldemort. How ever did a baby survive an attack from one of the most powerful wizard in the world? He was just a baby after all. Never-mind that, what was Lucius Malfoy going to do? He was after all a follower of the dark lord. Or was he? Did he give up that life now that he was missing? "Gone for good" is what he'd heard. Even with the news, the Malfoy family continued on as normal. Draco grew up in the manor and knew nothing of Harry Potter until his first day of Hogwarts.
