After Draco was done at the robe shop he walked to the store his mother was in looking for wands there were a lot of kids in it with their parents smiling happily at each other giggling. He found his mother looking at wands and walked over to her. "Oh, hello dear." She said patting him on the head. "Hello mother. When can i try out my new wand?" "Well, there's a like so we must wait." She said frowning. "A line? Did you try and pay for a spot in the front?" "Yes but the shopkeeper has old rules. The oaf." "Oh, well. These kids look like they're going to Hogwarts. Maybe i should go make friends." Draco's mother looked down at him. This was the first time in what seemed like months that she's looked at him. "You know your father wouldn't like that. Talking to all these... commoners." She said. "I know." Draco said sadly putting his head down. He began to sulk until his trance was broken by a mother hugging her son. "I'm so proud of you" she said to him smiling. Draco blinked, it was as if hugging was foreign to him. In fact, Draco couldn't remember the last time his mother hugged him. Actually he couldn't remember the last time anyone hugged him.
"Malfoy, Draco Malfoy !" The old shopkeeper shouted. "Go on" his mom said. "Hmm... old Lucius Malfoys boy i remember the wand. The longest wand on record. Made of Elm wood..." The shopkeeper measured Draco from shoulder to finger, finger to toe, elbow to finger, elbow to shoulder, and armpit to finger. He gave Draco a couple wands to test out. Nothing happened. "Hmmm.. not elm. Let's try this one." He said handing Draco another wand. Once he grabbed ahold the wand his hand got warm and fireworks started shooting out of the end he had pointed up at the sky. "YES! Nice 10 inches Hawthorn wood and unicorn hair." The shopkeeper said as he took the wand boxed it and handed it to Draco.
Draco's mother payed the shopkeeper for the wand and they walked outside to meet Lucius who was waiting with the books with a stern look on his face. "Well it took you long enough." He said through gritted teeth. "Sorry dear, there was a line and-" "I don't want to hear it." his voice boomed, passerby's looking at them. Draco flinched he hated a lot of things but mostly when his father screamed.
