The Assignment (Kylo Ren X Reader)

Chapter 35

It doesn't take long to get to Kylo's office. You motion the stormtroopers to let you in and they comply immediately.

The door swings open and Kylo quickly looks up, he seems annoyed but when he sees it's you he smiles.

You straighten up your posture trying to forget that the last time he saw you, you were in tears. You look around the room and spot a general waiting to speak to Kylo.

"Hi. Is there something wrong?" His voice is laced with slight worry.

"I'm fine." You try to reassure him. "I interrogated Patrick this morning, I know where they are stashing resistance members. I think we should investigate their hiding spot." You inform him, your voice sounding monotone.

"Okay." He set down his pen that he was using and he clasped his hands together. "Is there anything else?" His voice laced with concern.

"No. That's all. Send me a message on my DataPad when it gets arranged." You were almost afraid with how monotone you were being at this moment.

If it worried him too, he definitely didn't show it.

"Okay." He simply said. You look over and nod to the General waiting and walk away from Kylo's office.

The next thing you need to do is tell Leo. Although, he probably already knows, you just need to keep yourself busy today.

As you walk down the halls of Starkiller base you're stopped by an annoying ginger haired man.

"Commander." His mocking words stopped you.

"Yes, Hux?" You asked, the annoyance laced your voice.

"I need an update on the prisoner." He said in a demanding voice.

"Hux, you don't need to know anything. I will tell you what I want you to know." You spat at him. " I will send you an update from my DataPad. Now stop wasting my time." You pushed past him and continued your walk to Leo.

You knocked on Leo's door and as he opened it up you pushed past him.

"What's wrong?" He asked sounding concerned.

"I know where Patrick hid the resistance members. He hid them in a bunker at the back of his Cantina." You quickly explained to him.

"I know. I found out the same thing from Valentine. I was going to send you a message. We need to plan a mission to investigate it." You nodded your head and said you agreed with him.

"Are you okay with going back? No offense but when we left you were kinda shaken up." His words hit you like a bullet. It brought the memories you were trying so hard to push down back to the surface.

"Play thing" The voice of Ushar lingers in your mind.

You tried to shake the memory of Ushar pushing himself on you, but the tears streaming down your face make it impossible to forget that awful night.

"Are you okay?" Leo's voice and his hand flashing infront of your eyes bring you back to the reality.

"Um- yeah, I'm okay." You shook your head of the memories that were beginning to come back to you and put yourself back into reality.

"We should start planning something." He was right. You just didn't know if you had the strength to go back to Canto Bright, but you knew that you would have to at some point.

"Yeah, I'll schedule a meeting with Hux and Ren." He nodded at you and you swiftly left the room.
