~Ch.23~

-ZOE'S P.O.V.-

It was like one minute he was here and the next he was gone, I couldn't feel his presence next to me no more. Everywhere I looked he wasn't there, it felt cold and empty not being by his side. I looked around but nothing he had left, he was gone.

"Zoe...Zoe..."

I opened my eyes slowly as my eyes adjusted to the light coming in the room. The sun was setting down already. I sat up slowly with the help of Zach.

"How long was I asleep for?"

"A couple of hours, how did you sleep?"

"Okay I think"

"How's the baby?"

"She's been moving non stop I think she wants to come out already"

"Hopefully she likes us"

"She will, she'll have you guys, her uncles as protectors" I watched as Zach smiled looking at me, he's the youngest but the one I can count on the most at this time.

"You're up?" I looked at the door seeing Jonah.

"Hey you"

"I'll leave you two alone" Zach smiled at me before walking out the room as Jonah made his way towards the chair next to me.

"How are you feeling?"

"Good thank you"

"You ready for today?"

"I think, I've been preparing myself but no matter how much I prepare I can't seem to wrap the thought around my head"

"It'll be okay, come on I'll send Christina to help you before they arrive"

"Thank you Jonah"

"Anything for you Zoe, and for baby Zoe who will be here soon"

He kissed my forehead before walking out. I got up looking out the window. The sun was at the lowest setting down already. i touched my baby bump feeling her kick.

"It's almost time baby, a bit more"

"Can I come in?"

"Of course" Christian walked in holding a box as se smiled walking to me.

-DANIEL'S P.O.V.-

"How is she?"

"She looks fine, maybe a bit nervous but she's okay. Demanti called, they should be here in 10"

"He recovered fast" I said looking at Jonah.

"That's Jack, nothing stops him, especially now that he's about to be a dad"

"But he doesn't know that"

Corbyn made a point, the day Jack came back he was badly hurt. He would need extra care and we couldn't provide it here, especially with people going after him, so we made the decision to take him away until he recovered. Zoe wasn't okay with the idea but Demanti convinced her. Jack never saw her since he was badly injured so he never found out she was pregnant. Zoe wanted to keep it that way since she wanted to be the one to tell him. He's been gone for about two weeks and already made a full recovery, he's ready to come home and she ready for him to come home.

"Crazy huh?"
We all looked at Zach.

"Crazy how we all met because of Zoe and now look at us, we're going to be uncles"

"Isn't that a big responsibility?" Jonah said scratching his head.

"I got this guy's , baby's love me" Corbyn stood up saying it loud and proud.

"I doubt that, she'll probably be scared of you" We all looked at the stairs seeing Christina walking down.

"Babe shut up"

"It's the truth" We all laughed before hearing footsteps coming down, it was Zoe.

She was wearing a loose light purple dress with her long wavy hair, she looked beautiful. She smiled as she made her way towards us holding her baby bump.

"Okay, I think I'm ready now"

"You look beautiful Zoe" Zach said smiling at her.

"Thank you"

"They should be here soon"

-JACK'S P.O.V.-

Almost nine months since i've been away from her. She was always in my head, she's the reason I'm still here. I had to fight for her so I could see her again. No matter what it took. It's been too long and I've missed her more than ever. I was scared to come back and find out her and Daniel went on with the marriage but they didn't.

"You good?" I looked at Eben.

"Yeah, just a bit nervous I guess"

"Don't be, everything is going to be okay"

"He's right Jack, Zoe has been waiting to see you, everything will be okay" Demanti looked over towards us smiling.

They're right, but I've been missing her so much but at the same time I'm nervous to see her, it's been a while. I looked out the car window seeing as we pulled up to the mansion. It somehow looked different that the last time I remember. we pulled over seeing the guards open the door.

"Jack, it's nice to see you again buddy" Alec, one of the guards ran to me hugging me.

"Nice to see you too, it's been awhile"

"It's going you're back thought, we've all missed you"

I smiled at him before walking inside behind Demanti and Eben, as soon as i stepped inside you could hear the laughter of people, they're were in the dinning room. I stood still for a minute before walking to farsa the room filled with laughter.

"You're here!" Jonah ran you from his chair hugging me.

"Damn you missed me that much"

"Move my turn" Corbyn pushed him aside before hugging me.

"It's nice to see you again and in a better condition" Zach smiled at me before hugging me.

"Hey there, I'm happy you're okay and better than before Jack" it was Daniel, i smiled before hugging him.

I looked around but she wasn't at the table, where was she?

"She's in the backyard with Christina" Daniel said smiling at me. I nodded before walking towards the back.

I could feel my hands begin to sweat, why was I so nervous? I took a deep breath before stepping out into the outside a slight wind passing by. It took a minute before i saw her with Christina they were facing away from me, but even from behind she looked beautiful, she was wearing a light loose purple dress. As if my presence was known Christina turned around smiling at me walking towards my direction.

"I'm happy you're back, she's been waiting for you, take things slow" She hugged me before walking inside.

Take things slow? What did she think I was gonna do? I walked towards her before tapping her on the shoulder, she was a bit cold. She turned around smiling at me before I saw her clearly, she was pregnant.

"Hey you" her voice, i missed the sound of it. She looked down touching her baby bump.

"What-who's? I'm sorry" was all i could manage to say.

"I'm sorry it's probably too much, but it's nice to see you again, i'm happy you're finally better"

"Am I?" i waited as she bit her lip slightly.

"Yeah..." I hugged her in an instance feeing her close to me. Her scent was sos familiar as if i never left. She wrapped her arms slowly around me as i hugged her tighter, we're finally here, together and that's all that matter.
