Not Bad After All

Astrid's P.O.V.

"His name is Daniel Adams. He's 26 years old and lives in the Berk Apartment building. It says his apartment is on floor 14, the floor with all the 2 story apartments." Elsa says as she puts a picture of him on the white board.

"Wait! He lives on the 14th floor of the Berk Apartment building?" Hiccup asks, looking worried.

"Yea, why?" Elsa asks.

"That's where I live. What's his room number?" He asks.

"Umm, 424B."

"I live in 426B. So I'm right next door."

"Hiccup, have you heard anything weird coming from his apartment?" Jack walks next to Elsa and stares at Hiccup.

"Toothless was barking and growling at the wall the other night. I figured something was going on so I put my ear against it and heard a girl crying and screaming. I tried calling the police but they said it was nothing. So I went next door and knock on the door to see what was going on. He said he was having sex with his wife. I thought he didn't have a wife but I just shrugged it off. I didn't realize it could've been something else till now." Hiccup eplains.

"Is he there right now?" I ask.

"He was there when I left this morning." He says.

"Where's Toothless?" Jack asks.

"I had to leave him at the apartment. My parents couldn't take him today. Plus my sister had to go to school." He states.

"Come on! Let's go get this rapist before he rapes anybody else!" Elsa goes to her draw and grabs her gun before heading toward the elevator. "Hiccup! Astrid! We're gonna need your help!"

I grabbed my gun from my desk and grabbed my coat before following Elsa outside. Hiccup and Jack are right behind us as we get into the cars. Elsa and Jack in one, Jack at the drivers seat, and Hiccup and I in the other.

"Hiccup! I need you to lead us there! I don't know how to get there from here!" Jack yells.

"Here! You're driving!" I threw him the keys and went to the passenger side. "Since we're on a case to catch a suspect, you can drive faster then the speed." He nods his head and gets in the drivers seat. He sticks the key in the ignition and backs out of the parking spot before towards the apartments.

"Do you have a vest yet?" I ask trying to make a converastion.

"No, not yet." He says. "Your father didn't give me one yet."

"I'm assuming he also didn't give you a gun. Am I correct?" I ask.

"Yep. Hold on!" He takes a right turn and speeds down the road. I put the sirens on so the savilians will move to the side.

I look behind us to see Jack a few feet away. I notice that he looks determind and pissed at the same time. Never seen that before. I look back at the road to see the cars pulling over for us.

"How long till we get there?" I ask Hiccup.

"Should be there soon. It's in the wealthy section of Berk. I'm sure I can get us there in about 2 minutes." He says taking a glance at me.
