"If you're really from the future prove it," Mikey said, of course, always the skeptical one.I sighed.
"Well, where do I start..."
I thought back to what I knew, which really wasn't much, considering the situation here, but then I thought of something and said, "Oh! I know everything about you."
All the guys looked at me like I was fucking crazy, which was very understandable, considering the fact that they weren't even slightly famous yet, still playing gigs here and there as a small local rock band that had yet to have any sort of significance in the world.
"Shit, um, I didn't mean to sound creepy with that. Just, in the future, you guys kind of make it big, and well, I was kind of a fan, erm.." I stuttered, really trying to assess what I should do in this very awkward situation.
"What do you know?" Gerard asked. "Like, tell us about the future us."
"Well, you guys drop an- wait, what month is it?" I asked, wondering if there first album had come out yet.
"Um, it's May 1st. Why?" Ray said.
"Well, you guys drop your first album in a few months," I said.
"Really? What's the name of it? We haven't come up with a name yet," Frank said, nearly jumping up and down on his couch. He was always the biggest fan of his own band.
"I brought you bullets, you brought me your love," I said. "I also put bullets on a piece of kandi, see?" I held up my wrist, and pulled off the purple and yellow bracelet with the word "bullets" in letter beads spelled out.
"Whoa, that's rad," Frank said, looking at it while I put it back on my wrist.
"You guys drop another album in 2004, and another in 2006, and another in 2010," I said, deciding not to tell them about the break up, hoping that they wouldn't ask. Thankfully, they didn't.
"Wow.." Gerard was pretty mesmerized by what I had said.
"Wait, you could just be making this up. Tell us something that you know that we would know for sure," Mikey said, still skeptical of whether I was telling the truth or not.
That was understandable of course, because like, I could just be some weird crazy chick who was out of her mind.
"Well, you and Gerard Arthur Way's parents names are Donna and Donald Way, Gerard's birthday is April 9, and Frank Anthony Iero's is on Halloween," I said, hoping that was good enough for Mikey, but also hoping to every god out there that it wasn't too creepy for this situation.
Gerard and Mikey looked kinda shocked, but thankfully he believed me after that, and Ray looked uncomfy (sorry), and Frank looked kind of in awe and also a bit amused.
"So you must've really liked me huh babe?" Frank said, winking, and scooting a bit closer to me on the couch, which made me my cheeks blush as red as a fucking tomato.
"Oh, shush," I blushed, waving it off. Truth be told, I was quite a big my chemical romance fan in high school. I was the stereotypical emo who wore black eyeliner and was depressed.
"So, if you're really from the future, how the fuck would you get back?" Gerard asked.
"Well, I don't know," I answered truthfully. Really, I had no idea I was here, and time worked at all. Did time in 2020 just stop? Are they still waiting for my return? I had no idea.
"Wait! What if it's like one of those time travel movies, where this person gets sent back for something and they have to save the world?" Frank exclaimed.
I scoffed, thinking about how ridiculous that was. Who would choose me to save the world? "Um sir, I am a broke college student. Do you really think that any God would choose me to save the world?"
"Well, maybe they chose these things by random?" Gerard suggested.
"Yeah, maybe you were sent back for a reason!" Mikey chimed in.
"And you have to do something about it!" Ray added.
I thought about this for a moment. If someone really did send me back in time, it had gotta be for a reason. No one would mess up time like that, right? "Okay, so what do we do first?" I asked, having no idea what time travelling prophets were supposed to do.
"How 'bout we look for clues or something first?" Frank asked. "We go clue hunting today, and tonight, you can come with us to the gig we're playing at a bar!"
"Sounds rad," I said. "Give me your phone."
Frank looked at me confused, before pulling out his phone. "Why would you need a phone?"
I looked at the thing that Frank had in his hand. "Right, you have 2002 phones, never mind. Where's your computer?"
"Well, I have one in my apartment-" Gerard started, but then I cut him off by standing up.
"Off we go then."
