"Good job y'all! We're definitely going to win the matches next week!" You said to the team before cleaning the gym.
Yūma helped you carrying the volleyball poles into the storage room while the other girls were dismissed.
"You did very good, (L/N)." He smiled as he put the pole on it's place.
"Thank you. I just have to be better than just 'good' to go to nationals." You said, smiling and looking at your shoes.
"Hey." He said and put his hands on your shoulders, causing you to look up.
'Oh damn, he takes big steps.'
"I'm sure you'll do great and go to nationals and eventually win it." He added.
"Yeah." You smiled, acting all shy and cute.
"Now let's get home to study, huh?"
"I just gotta change."
Both of you walked out of the gym before you locked it. He waited for you outside the locker room while you texted Sato.

Sato replied, looking excitedly at her phone.
'I wonder how he might react!' She thought, walking inside the gym where Oikawa was still practicing.
"Oikawa-san, aren't you overworking yourself again?" She asked him when he was about to serve again.
He turned around in surprise. He wouldn't have thought that one of your friends would ever talk to him after what had happened.
"Sato-chan, what brings you here?" He asked surprised.
"I was just walking by since our practice just finished and saw you. I wanted to kind of check on you since your knee is broken, you know?" She lied perfectly.
"Why would you worry about me after all I've done?" The captain looked at the ball he was holding, a wave of guilt overwhelming him.
"I'm doing it for (L/N)-chan. I know deep down she's worrying too. So don't do anything stupid." She smiled cutely at him.
"Is she still in the gym?"
"Yeah. I think she also stayed longer to practice. To go to nationals."
"I see." He said, dropping the ball on the floor.
"Could you wait here a little until I'm back?" He asked to which she nodded.
Seconds later he left the gym.

You relied, finally walking out of the locker room.
"I'm sorry, I just saw that some of the girls didn't clean up. I hate when it's messy."
"No worries, wasn't that long anyways." He smiled.
"Let's get going before it's getting too late to study." He added.
'Where the fuck is he?'
"Yeah!" The both of you started walking.
Not a single sign of Oikawa.
'He didn't get to see it!' You got mad at the fact.
Well, at least that was what you thought.
After Oikawa left the gym he slowly made his way towards the second gym. His heart raced as crazy, causing him to take a deep breath. He just had to turn his corner to face you again.
'Will she even listen to me?'
He pulled himself together and was about to turn the corner when he heard your voice.
He froze.
"I'm sorry, I just saw that some of the girls didn't clean up. I hate when it's messy." His breath hitched.
'Who is she taking to?'
His question was answered the second after.
"No worries, wasn't that long anyways."
And his heart, once again, was shattered. You were talking to that boy, using your cute voice like you used to use on him.
"Let's get going before it's getting too late to study." The male added, causing his heart to drop.

What if something happened between the both of you?!
He couldn't let that happen. He wanted to step forward to interfere but was stopped by your giggling voice saying 'yeah'.
He heard your footsteps become quieter by any second. His heart beat way too fast for him to handle. He had to distract himself. He didn't want to think about the things that could possibly happen tonight.
He jogged back to the gym where Sato was still waiting.
"Oikawa-san, did you talk to her?" She asked.
"I-I ... she .." he tried to form a sentence, unsuccessfully.
"Hey calm down! Drink something!" She walked over to his water bottle and handed it to him.
He breathed uncontrollably.
"I guess she didn't wanna talk?"
"Tell me they aren't dating, Sato-chan. They don't know each other. They can't be dating. Tell me they aren't dating!" He bursted.
"Wow Oikawa-san, calm down. They aren't dating but they seem to get along very well." Sato smiled proudly.
Oikawa stayed quiet.
"You know, Oikawa-san. After what you did to (L/N)-chan she was really sad. I think she really deserves to be happy now." She added, making him feel guiltier on purpose.
"Yeah she deserves to be happy." He said sternly.
"But I will be the one making her happy."
