Chapter One: Magic of the Kool-Aid

"I promise we'll be an hour tops. I'm just gonna go in and hang with my best buds for a while," Hunter Lyle, my bestest friend forever, replied.

"Aren't I your best bud?" I asked in a joking tone.

"Of course. But they're my other best buds," Hunter said with a smile, "You'll always be my #1 girl."

"Awwww," I said, placing a hand on my heart.

"Now, c'mon. Let's go before everyone gets too drunk to know who I am," Hunter replied.

"Wouldn't that be a shame?" I asked.

Hunter stuck his tongue out at me before we started walking towards the house that was threatening to collapse with all the loud music playing.

I am Anastasia Dawn but most people [well, everyone] call me Ana. I am now trapped with my best friend, Hunter, in going with him to some stupid party one of his dumb jock friends managed to pull off. Sometimes, I swear Hunter needed to stop hanging out with the people he hung out with.

As I followed inside, some Drake song began to play and my eardrums were on the verge of bleeding.

"See ya later, kay?" Hunter asked.

"Ok, you jerk," I answered.

Hunter gave me a wave before walking off and I turned in the opposite direction, heading over to where the drinks were.

Seeing everything but water, I sighed. Nothing to cure my thirst.

"Looking for something?" a voice asked.

I jumped because the voice scared me. Turning around, it was a cute boy with shaggy dark hair and a cute smile.

"Uh, just water," I answered.

"I tried that myself. No use. You're safer with Kool-Aid," the boy replied.

"Oh. Great idea," I replied, taking a cup with red juice off the table.

"I'm Logan," the boy introduced, holding out his hand.

"Ana," I said, feeling sparks as our hands touched.

Blushing slightly like an idiot, I let go a couple seconds later and received a small smile from Logan.

"So are you friends with the person who's holding the party?" I asked, to make conversation.

"Yeah. I don't know why really," Logan replied.

I let out a little laugh before saying, "I take it you're not the party animal type."

I took a sip of the drink as Logan shook his head.

"I don't blame you. I was dragged here by my best friend," I said.

"Oh. Both of us have a case of best friend-itis," Logan said with a shrug.

I smiled at that. He was cute and corny.

As I grabbed another drink, I felt Logan look at me.

"You like the Kool-Aid?" Logan asked with an amused look.

"Mm-hmm," I answered, taking large sips.

It didn't taste like your average Kool-Aid. It was even better than Kool-Aid.

Logan let out a little laugh and I went for a third one. But the room was starting to spin and I couldn't stop giggling.

I'm starting to think that wasn't Kool-Aid.

"You look so pretty," I said to Logan, playing with his hair.

"Thank you," Logan said, confused.

I giggled some more. And then cheered as Hunter walked this way.

"Yay! Best friend forever! How ya doing?" I asked.

"Oh great. You're drunk," Hunter replied.

"No I'm not!" I replied stubbornly before giggling again.

"I'll take you," Hunter said, carrying me over his shoulder.

"Bye Logan," I said, waving at him.

He waved back and we soon got in his car. As he closed his door, I turned to him.

"I don't wanna go home. Can I sleep at your house?" I asked.

"Ok. My parents aren't home so we are free," Hunter said, starting up the car.

"Look, I'm sorry for dragging you there," Hunter said a couple minutes later.

"Its ok, buddy," I said, giving him a doofy grin.

Hunter rolled his eyes at me.

A couple minutes later, we arrived at Hunter's house and Hunter took me by the hand. Unlocking the door, we went upstairs to his room and I collapsed on his bed.

Hunter collapsed right beside me and I started playing with his hair.

"I love your hair," I said.

"I love yours too," Hunter said.

I gave Hunter a kiss on the cheek. Then, I gave him a second one on the cheek but dangerously close to his lips. Hunter turned and kissed me on the lips. At first, I wanted to let go. To resist. But then all I wanted to do was lay back and enjoy the ride.

I took off his shirt as he started to kiss my neck. I gasped but Hunter didn't stop. I didn't want him too.

Unzipping my dress, I took it off and rubbed my fingers in Hunter's hair.

And even though Hunter was my best friend, I loved every single minute of it.
