Kaminari slowly shut the door. Haruhi was inside and sobbing.
He could only imagine what was going through Izuku's mind. Saving up since January for a gift. But when Mitsuki got one too nine months of meticulous saving went down the drain.
He had to pay rent, but groceries. Afford their school. And save.
And with that letter, it made it seem like Izuku was scared to look at his own children. He really thought he disappointed them that much.
Denki sighed and started walking down the stairs of the complex. Izuku didn't have a car, he couldn't of gone far. But he wouldn't go slow or stay close.
He crossed the street quickly and entered the park. There he saw children playing with their mothers and fathers. Laughing. Smiling.
So he looked around a bit, lo and behold. Izuku was standing to the side. Watching them as tears fell from his eyes.
They weren't as obvious as they wanted to be, but Izuku has to keep the low profile.
Slowly Kaminari made his way closer. Letting his hand rest on the small man's shoulder. With a jump he turned around.
His face turned soft and sad. Quickly hugging Kaminari close and crying into his chest.
Denki put his arms around the boy, then moved his hand to his hair.
"Let's go sit okay?" He whispered into his ear as he picked his friend up.
Izuku agreed without a word. Wrapping his legs around Kaminari, having the blonde catch him as he also latched around his neck.
Denki slowly waddled over to a picnic bench, where he sat down and then moved his friends legs across his lap.
Izuku's head was in his shoulder, crying his eyes out. And Denki just let his hands run through his hair.
"You wanna talk about it?"
Izuku shook his head, gripping him closer.
"Okay, then how about we get you home. Okay?"
"No! I- I can't.."
Denki looked at Izuku for a good long while. Why wouldn't he want to go home?
"Why not?"
"I... I just can't right now. Haruhi he- he expects so much from me and- I-... No." He said and then stood up.
"Everyone's at the party right?" Denki nodded.
"Okay. I'll be back tomorrow."
Kaminari blanked. Izuku didn't want to go home. At all?
"Woah wait! Your just-"
"Yea I am. I'll just text Katsuki, he'll let me stay a night."
"Absolutely not! If your not going home tonight there's absolutely no way I'm letting you stay with that dick!"
"Well where else would I stay Denki? It's not exactly like everyone would want to talk to me after I'm just walking out on my kids. Even if it's only for a night." Izuku said, crossing his arms around himself like he was trying to comfort himself.
"Maybe not! B-But if we just go back to the house and explai-"
"No. Denki." Izuku sighed as he turned to walk away.
Kaminari was frozen. 'Denki.' When was the last time Izuku called him that?
"W-Wait. Izuku," He started, trying to get the boy's attention. And he did, the emerald green eyes looked at him once more "Just stay at my place. Please. If you stay with Bakugo, who knows what he'll do."
