Yagi stood up slowly as he went to check on the boy. His heart monitor wasn't as fast as it would be during a heart attack but it was slowly building up.

Izuku had tears run down his face and he was breathing heavily.

"Young Midoriya are you okay?" He asked and slowly sat down.

Izuku couldn't nod. He felt stiff, lying there like a piece of wood. But he didn't want to talk. So he opted for no response at all.

"You're family is still waiting outside you know."

He knows.

"Son, they love you a lot. They only want to help."

He knows.

"Why don't you let them in?"

He's not sure.

All of the words spoken out of the much older blonde's mouth were futile in changing his mind. He knew what he was doing as much as it hurt to admit it he knew how much it'd hurt them. He wanted to change but when it comes down to it, it would be so hard to change after so long. Spending day after day in the same routine.

"I love them but there's no way I can change myself. I am negligent and selfish. I can't fix myself so what's the point anyways." Izuku sighed and then turned himself over in his bed. "I've been like this for as long as i can remember so after I get out of here, as long as i can support my kids enough then I don't need to change."

Silent tears started to spill from his eyes, the quiet hiccups as the man continued to speak, "I love my children, but as long as I am still around, they aren't going to be safe with me. I don't want to give them up but if this HBP is as serious as you make it out to be, i won't be able to support them anymore. I'm working almost four jobs right now and i can barely afford rent. They'd be better anywhere else than with me."

The older male on the other bed was now sat with his wide eyes trained on the other. Stammering, he couldn't think of anything to say. So with a sigh he called for a nurse, who knew what could happen at this moment in time. And the nurse had come sooner than expected.

Just outside was the rest of the family. Just because they were sent away didnt mean they would leave.

And with a heavy heart peaking through the now open door Haruhi shed a tear. The confession from his mother hurt him, more than any word ever spoken. Yagi stared back at him with wide eyes upon realizing who it was truly outside the door.

Slowly the man started out of bed, and wandering over to the other side of the room. And with a sigh he opened the door and sat down with the family outside.

"Izuku is probably one of the worst cases of abuse I've ever seen."

Multiple eyes landed on him in astonishment before he continued, "I've typically been put on many different cases, rooming with people after trauma. You know, Chiko remembered him. It must've been ten years ago that he came in last, everything was covered in blood, Little Midoriya here needed stitches and-"

Inko ran towards him quickly shoving her hand on his mouth in desperation. "Please." She begged. "We don't want to relieve that. We don't want to remember it."

The blonde nodded and continued, "Either way, Chiko sent him to room with me for a reason. I'll do my best to talk to him but I can just tell. I was told the story that got him here."

Haruhi's breath hitched as he then diverted his attention towards Natsuo who was playing with the twins.

"I won't be able to talk him out of anything. I can tell you why we're keeping him however. I, Dr. Toshinori Yagi, am a psychiatrist I work with the worst cases and after an accident I ended up here. I'm bound to a hospital so while I'm here I schedule my appointments in my room. Which is why Young Midoriya is with me." The man sold up and winced, gripping his abdomen.

"I  will be watching him and diagnosing him. So far I can tell he has PTSD and Depression, both of which can be solved with medication but I do not know how severe. As soon as I come to a complete conclusion I will release him."

Kaminari stared through the door and then looked back. "Mrs.Midoriya, take the kids home. I'll pick them up from school tomorrow. I want to see if I can talk to him." Directing his eyes towards the older blonde he said, "Alone please."

Inko nodded and picked up the twins escorting them away with her husband and Natsuo by her side. Haruhi stayed however. And Yagi just nodded sitting back down.

"I can't leave Uncle K. I-I just can't." Tears started to shed. "He can't be alone tonight! I can't leave him. Momma needs to know that he isn't alone!" He yelled.

Kaminari took the boy by his shoulder. "He will. Come on let's sit for a few."

Haruhi while sniffling sat next to his Uncle. "Izuku has been like this for a while. Had depression I mean."

With wide eyes, Haruhi looked at the man. "It's not uncommon for it to even be hereditary. But there isn't much we can do but be by his side. We're going to also have to be really careful after this. But we also have to give him some time to think. He loves you a lot. He may be thinking irrationally right now but I promise you, you and your siblings will be fine. I love your mom but over my dead body will he give you up. Whether it takes our friendship. You will not lose your mother."

Haruhi nodded. The tears now being more intense than ever hugged his Uncle once more and then stood to walk out.

Yagi looked at them with a smile. And Kaminari nodded. Eventually standing and walking to the door and taking a deep breath and opening it.

Izuku was staring at the ceiling with a blank face. His face red and puffy.

"Izuku."

"I've been thinking about it."

"About what?"

"Giving them up. Letting them live life anywhere else than with me."
