His eyes search mine
For pain or longing
But when I look at him
It all disappears in an instant
Any pain that I might feel
Is washed away in a single glance
Instead it is replaced with love
An undying love
Love mixed with longing
A longing to hold him in my arms
To be fully convinced that I am loved unconditionally
Through all the bad days
That lace their way throughout your life
