A/N: HI :D this is my first fic on here so i apologize if this is terrible!!
Some things to know:
-Karlie and Josh aren't dating when this fic starts.
-Tree wasn't Taylor's publicist in 2013 but yea haha we're just going to ignore that
-in this fic, I decided on Taylor's sexual orientation, but i'm not going to assume or force anything on her :)
-i'm sorry if any of them seem out of character!!!
-also the first 5-6 chapters are horrendous, i apologize, i literally had no idea what i was doing
feedback and comments are appreciated. enjoy!

🌟 It was enchanting to meet you 🌟
"Ready?"
"No," Taylor says flatly.
Tree gives her that familiar look. It's the one she sends after Taylor says something negative. Eyes narrowed, mouth pressed into a straight line. It's really annoying, Taylor finds, and Tree uses it quite a bit.
"At least sound a little excited. Most artists would kill to be in your place," Tree replies knowingly, flattening out her skirt. Taylor wants to groan, but she's right. A lot of musicians would give anything to be performing at the VS Fashion Show.
After all, it's a great gig– extremely nerve-racking, but still a great gig. Even if Taylor absolutely sucks at handling stress.
Tree is conversing with the driver so Taylor lets distraction indefinitely whisk her away. Her body's shaking and she's thinking of all the good things in the world– yet the only thing her brain seems to remember is how many people are going to be watching her, judging her every move, the notes she belts...
And, Jesus, how is she going to look next to all those models? Some of them look like they were sculpted out of clay by God. Taylor will probably have her outfits and makeup dragged by critics the day the show premieres and, of course, there will be millions of viewers watching.
"We're almost there. You might want to get yourself together," Tree says, snapping Taylor out of her worrisome thoughts. "It'll be okay, you know, there's really no reason for you to be this nervous."
"So many things could go wrong," Taylor mutters, crossing her arms defensively. Tree wouldn't know. She's a publicist, not an international superstar.
"You've performed for bigger and better crowds. Besides, most attention will be on the models. You'll see during rehearsal, it's really nothing to get all shaken up about." Tree offers a reassuring smile. "You'll be totally fine."
Taylor nods, not fully believing her publicist, and stays silent for the rest of the ride. The continuous leg trembling is irritating, but she's unfortunately used to this kind of thing. Shows like these are always different than the shows on tour. There's a big difference between performing for thousands of fans and performing for a small crowd of adults. Fans are always supportive no matter what, and something tells her these audience members of the show won't exactly be the same.
