ALL FOR US
"CONFRONTATION"LONNIE COULDN'T help but scold herself as she paced in the hallway near the door to her room. She should have seen it sooner. The sudden change in the trip, the bus driver, the fact that she'd noticed Peter missing on numerous occasions during the trip, and finally, the fact that Peter Parker had been standing near the front at Tony Stark's funeral. It had been right in front of her the entire time and she'd been completely oblivious.
But that didn't matter now, because now Lonnie Romanoff knew. She knew about everything and now it was time to confront Peter Parker about it. She didn't even know what she would say or honestly why she cares all that much. At the end of the day he was just some superhero and he certainly wasn't the most impressive of the ones she'd met in her lifetime. But maybe the reason Lonnie cared so much was just simply because he wears the mask of a hero. Because he was a human playing the part of something greater than himself. Maybe the reason Lonnie cared so much is because he knew what it was like to live the life of a hero, because he knew her loss, her pain. After all, Lonnie may have lost her mother that day, but Peter Parker lost a father.
"Peter!" Lonnie called once her anxious eyes finally met his figure.
She had been waiting outside for him to arrive back at the hotel for the past half an hour. He had changed out of his all black uniform and mask and back into the suit he had worn to the Opera. His curls sat on top of his head in quite a neat fashion for someone who had just worn a mask and his suit coat was missing entirely, leaving him in just the black pants and the white blouse.
Lonnie couldn't help but stare as Peter turned to face her. Even with him being on the other side of the stairwell than she was Lonnie could see the way his blouse brought out the muscle in his arms and if it wasn't for the circumstances she was about to put herself in, she was sure would have swooned.
"L-Lonnie?" Peter a look of confusion formed on Peter's face as he slowly made his way towards her, fiddling with his backpack straps as he did so. "W-what are y-you--"
"I should probably thank you." Lonnie said with a small smirk.
"T-thank me?" Peter asked, a look of utter confusion forming on his face.
"Yeah." Lonnie nodded. "For catching me."
"What?"
"Back at the carnival, you know? With the fire monster thing."
"I-I don't know what you're t-talking about." Peter stuttered out. "I was at t-the Opera."
"I saw you run out of the Opera." Lonnie stated as she raised her left brow slightly
"I-I didn't go anywhere." Peter stuttered, his gaze trying desperately to avoid hers.
"Oh really?" Lonnie challenged.
