SILENCE. NOTHING BUT DEAFENING silence filled Y/N's ringing ears as she could barely hear the workers' muffled voices speak to her.
"And if you could just take a look at these papers, it'll explain all the details of the translation into foster care.."
She stared straight ahead of her as she sat in a chair at the small dining table that was scattered with legal papers while they sat next to the kitchen, her eyes reddened and dry. She couldn't seem to focus on anything the CPS workers were going over with her.
"Because you aren't eighteen just yet, you'll have to stay with a temporary foster family until your birthday."
Policemen and other CPS workers swarmed her house, searching for any and all evidence that could be used for Marie's murder case. This case was the talk of the news now, apparently.
The policemen and detectives searched through their kitchen, and with gloved hands, one picked up the glass that Marie had drunken from just the night before.
