Requested by @deppgublerlcve - Gilbert thinks that Y/N is doing things behind his back and he confronts her. When he confronts he he gets a big surprise.

-Gilbert POV
"She has been going around my back I'm telling you" I said to my sister Ellen while driving the car into town to start the work day.
"Why don't you just ask her what she's doing? I mean you've been together for a year and a half and still have secrets between you two? That's sad" she said chewing her gum loudly which annoyed me more and more as she spoke.
"Gilbert, hey Gilbert, maybe she has a surprise for you" Arnie said from the back sit.
"Not Now Arnie, almost two years Ellen and could you stop chewing like a cow?" I said to my sister and she gave me an annoyed look before continuing to chew but now with her mouth closed.
We got to the store and my sister went out to meet with her friends while Arnie went to play the games and I went to start stocking the shelves.
'Is she cheating on me? Why would she do that? Is it me, did I do something wrong?' I asked myself getting deeper and deeper in thoughts.
"Hey Gilbert" I heard someone say and then a kiss on my cheek.
I turned around and smiled, not wanting to discuss anything just yet.
"Hey Y/N good morning" I said kissing her, enjoying her cherry flavored lips.
She looked absolutely beautiful even in her work clothes. Hey beautiful Y/H/C hair was put up in a nice bun(if you don't have long enough hair then let that gorgeous hair of yours fly queen!) and she was wearing her favorite mom jeans that she got when she dragged me along with her to do some shoppings.
"Sorry I'm late I couldn't wake up this morning, I was working all night" she said and I didn't quite believe her.
"Why are you working all of the time lately? I mean we didn't really hang out for the past two weeks, is everything ok?" I asked wanting a real answer but I could see her moving uncomfortably.
"I'm ok, I just need a little more money to catch up on the rent and food, I don't want to get thrown out and I just need the money" she said as she began to stock the cans with me.
'I just don't know how to confront her anymore, she isn't telling me the truth and I can tell it, she's so uncomfortable lately, I'll confront her tonight after work'
-Y/N POV
'Since I came into work Gilbert hasn't really talked to me. Actually he's been very distant. Does he know about the present?' I thought to myself placing some cans on a different shelf.
I have been working some extra shifts without telling Gilbert so he won't question me about them. I just wanted to get him a nice gift for our two year anniversary and I knew he wanted a new truck for a while so I saved a lot of money to get it to him.
*a slight time skip*
"Hey Gilbert, we're done for the day, wanna head out?" I asked him and he stood back up.
He didn't smile he just let out a small 'ok' and went to put his uniform in the back room.
I waited outside the door looking at Arnie and Ellen playing around the trees.
I heard the door open and Gilbert came out not saying a word.
"Hey did I do something?" I asked wanting to know if something was wrong.
"Yeah, why are you acting so suspicious lately, I mean are you cheating on me?" He asked and my mouth dropped open.
"What! No! I would never do that! I love you Gilbert" I said back.
"So why are you lying and not telling me what's going on?" He yelled at me, causing me to back away and cover my face to not get hit.
I felt hands come up to mine and taking them back down.
"I might be mad but I would never hit you" he said hugging me as I silently cried.
"I just wanted to get you something new, I wanted to buy you something new for our anniversary so I've been working a lot of extra shifts. I would never cheat on you" I whispered into his ear still hugging him and sobbing.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you, and you don't need to get me anything. Your love is the only thing that I need" he said pulling back and clearing my tear stained cheeks.
"Well it's a little too late, I already got it and I've worked way too hard for you to return it" I said then leaned up to kiss him softly.
He looked at me with a questioning look, wanting to know more about this gift.
"Well, our anniversary is tomorrow anyways, if you drive me home I can give it to you" I said and he quickly called his siblings over and I got to hug them both.
"We'll stop for a minute at Y/N's house to see something, ok?" He asked his sister and brother who were seated at the back sit.
They both nodded and he began driving.
"So.... are you guys ok? I know Gilbert was whining about you earlier today" Ellen asked and Gilbert and I chuckled.
"We're alright, it was just a misunderstanding" I said and she smiled.
"Gilbert loves you and I do to" Arnie said leaning forward to be seen.
"I love you too Arnie, and you Gilbert" I said seeing the fake pout on his face.
We drove off for another couple of minutes and we finally got to my house. Ellen and Arnie decided to stay in the car and Gilbert walked with me to my house.
"So, here" I said giving him a small box.
He looked at me confused but began to untie the ribbon. He opened the box and his mouth slightly opened. He pulled out a car key and he looked at me shocked.
"Did you buy me a new car?" He asked me still shocked a little.
"Yeah, I did, I was working really hard for the past couple of weeks to get you this. I know that the car keeps on stopping and not working so I wanted to get you something new and helpful" I said holding my hands behind my back, rocking back and forth on my feet.
"Thank you so much baby" he said grabbing me by my waist and picking me up to kiss me.
"I'm happy you like it" I said as he puts me down and our lips disconnect.
"I'm so sorry for not trusting you and questioning you. I love you so much" he said and kissed me again, this time letting his tongue into my mouth to explore.
"Ewwww, that's gross" we heard Arnie say and we both pulled away to see Ellen taking a picture of us and Arnie at the doorway.
"So, what'd she get you?" Ellen asked and Gilbert showed her the car keys and her face lit up.
"Come with us, stay with us at the house tonight, please" Gilbert basically begged and then I heard Arnie yell, "Sleepover!" Which caused me to laugh and quickly come with them.
We got to their house fast in the new car and everyone greeted us and we told them about the new car.
"Let's head upstairs" Gilbert said and he told his sister that Arnie is already asleep.
We headed upstairs and went to his room. I ran to his closet and grabbed my favorite shirt and got under the bedsheets quickly. Gilbert joined me after brushing his teeth and hugged me.
"I love you so much, and happy anniversary beautiful" he said looking at the clock.
"Happy anniversary baby" I said back and leaned on him.
He rubbed circles on my back and I slowly began to dose off. He whispered another ' I love you' before falling asleep as well.
