Operation Jealousy

Wei Wuxian rests his chin in the palm of his hand as he watches his company devour a cake piece in the shape of a white bunny, this time he had mixed milk chocolate and banana as the filling and the child seems to enjoy it so much he cancels out his surrounding. 
This only gives Wei Wuxian an excuse to stare in awe with a pleased smile on his lips, seeing the child is about to finish the dish he straightens up and sits with a formal posture as if he is having a business meeting and not hanging out with a seven year old kid.

"So, Xiao Food Critic, what is the final verdict?"

Wei Wuxian looks nervous as if everything he owns is on the line slightly rubbing his hands dramatically and the child immediately plays along and sits properly wiping his mouth gently with a tissue. 
Xiao Xingchen watches the two from behind the counter as he wipes it clean thoroughly and only chuckles while shaking his head slightly at the pairs antics.

That two people who didn't even know each existed until just a few weeks ago can be so similar and fit together with such precise synchronization just baffles him, but it is also extremely entertaining at the same time. 
The child closes his eyes and gently places the tissue down at the table indicating he is finished with the dish, he releases a small sigh and Wei Wuxian reacts like he is a complete wreck and starts to fake bite his nails frantically. 

"Hmm.. I must say Wei G.. Wuxian, this dish is a treat."

The adult visibly flinch as he has to force his chuckle down hearing how the child tries to make his voice deeper while delivering such a pun, but as Wei Wuxian is someone who has always loved to joke around he collects himself fairly quickly. 
Wei Wuxian sits back slightly and looks at the child like he is intrigued by the others comments, nodding his head as if agreeing, while combing his non existent beard with his fingers.

"Good, good I see.."

Wei Wuxian intended to continue the act but the bell above the door signals someones arrival and before he can react tiny arms reach around him as far as they can go.

"Wei Qianbei!"

Wei Wuxian immediately reacts and picks up the child clinging to his side and tosses the light body up and down in the air earning delighted shreiks. 

"A-Ling! How many times have I told you to call me Wei Shishu!"

Wei Wuxian says sounding fake agitated while continuing his effortless tossing of the boy, the child only laughs like hearing his uncle complain just makes him even happier. 
What the now cheerful laughing baker doesn't notice is the child in the background slowly changing the surrounding aura darker and darker with each uninterrupted laughter between uncle and nephew. 

"A-Xian"

Hearing himself being called with the soft and familiar female voice hiding a hint of amusement, Wei Wuxian hugs his dear nephew closer to him as he finally takes in the view of his sister.

"Shijie.."

Wei Wuxian can't help himself, seeing his sister his demeanor immediately turns soft and his face moves into a warm expression.
Jin Ling reaches his arms out towards his mother and Wei Wuxian chuckles at the boy's obsession, it's not like he hangs around her all day long already and he still craves her attention.
It makes him happy because it only proves what he's known all along, his sister is a great mother.
Reaching over the child now clinging onto his mother, Wei Wuxian chuckles as he leans back a bit.

"Aiya~ Shijie how did you know? I was going to call you later today but you always seem to know when I want to see you and my adorable nephew!"

While complimenting his nephew he ruffles the hair pulled back into a neat short ponytail making Jin Ling slap his hand away.
The tiny hands immediately tries to undo the mess Wei Wuxian had made out of the black silky strands.
