Important chpter!!
I had not heard mom and dad's stories before, it contained a lot of butt-kickery.
The moment the man in the lead said,
"The children of Percy Jackson. took you long to come" or something like that, I knew we were in trouble. I looked at Zoe and saw she was thinking the same thing.
"You can't hurt us," I said,
"and why is that, may I ask?" He enquired,
"I've joined the hunt and have the blessing of Artemis," I said, this would've killed me, normally. But I had an idea.
"Silena, No!" Zoe called, "you're NOT joining the hunt!"
"I'm not listening to you this time, Zoe," I said, I knew it was rude, but joining the hunt was the best option for me.
"She has not joined the hunt yet," The man told his servants, "we can still use them as bait,"
"bait for what?" Albus asked, I had forgotten he was there for a second, "and where is Luke?"
"depends on which one you're talking about" He said, grinning evilly, "one is in the underworl-"
"and you also don't have the right to say his name, you little-" Someone said, I turned my head and saw mom cursing and dad holding her back. I almost sobbed with relief,
"Percy Jackson" The man snarled, "we knew you would show up someday," He said,
"who are you?" Dad asked, still holding mom back, "and if you're working for Gaia or Kronos" Dad said, "They're dead"
"But gods can never really die, can they?" He asked, still laughing, "Luke's sacrifice meant nothing, he was one of the worst hosts a god or titan alike can ever have"
This time, dad couldn't hold mom back. She broke free, and punched the man. Zoe was grinning, Albus and James looked kind of scared, but I was happy,
"well, there goes my effort" Dad said, "umm, wise girl, I think he didn't mean what he said now" Dad nervously said, mom was still punching and kicking the guy. The people holding us back, ran. Me, Zoe, Albus, and James broke free and took a few steps back. The man eventually got back up again,
"Gaia brought me back to life, do you not who I am, Perseus Jackson?" He asked. At that moment, he threw back his cloak and his body shifted. He turned into a lion, except for his tail, it turned into something else. Oh wow, I never thought I would see the nemean lion with a mechanical tail in my life, I thought. Zoe yelled,
"that's a manticore!" She yelled. Mom froze,
"Dr. Thorn?" Dad asked, "Annabeth, don't you remember him? he-"
"Of course I remember him, seaweed brain!" Mom yelled, "He kidnapped me, then forced me to hold the sky, then bianca died trying to rescue me, then-"
"Yeah, yeah. Everybody knows me" 'Dr. Thorn' said,
"Yeah, well I'm killing you anyway"
"Percy, wait!" Mom called, "you can't kill him alone, you had Mr. D's help last time"
"True, how about we call the Potter's?" Dad asked, mom just shrugged and dad picked his H-phone up again,
"Zoe, Silena, Albus, and James, can you please keep him distracted for long enough for me to make this call?" Dad asked,
"Wait!" Zoe called again, dad continued on his call, but everybody else froze, "it's tail is poisonous," She said, and everybody charged.
For a second, I felt bad for the manticore.
"I wonder if magical spells work on mythical creatures" James said, and he and Albus blasted the monster with thousands of spells, some didn't have any effect, like some spell called,
'avadakedavra' or something, it just rebounded and everybody ducked. Zoe just kept stabbing and slicing. I attacked it, dodging the tail as best as I could. I stabbed at it, but the tail hit me. It thit me and pushed me back, I fell to the floor as the poison entered my body. I heard Zoe scream, and I felt a shart stab of guilt, but the pain entered my body like a thousand pins were being pushed into my body, I coughed and was aware of blood coming out of my throat as I did, but my eyes closed and I couldn't wake myself up. No matter how hard I tried.
