People, people, people...
Don't worry. I am alive, just had to go on a quest. It was a pretty stupid one, but okay. Anyway, here is the chapter...
enjoy (maybe...)
I was in...cabin six?
Then I remembered this was from mom's perspective. It was probably when she was still in Camp Half-Blood. But something was wrong.
I was sitting in that chair in front of the very desk for hours. I was practically glued to the chair. Studying maps and letters. My hair was in a messy ponytail, and I was under a lot of stress and worry. It was visible that I hadn't eaten in quite some time.
That's when it hit me- I was mom searching for dad after he had disapeared. I remembered mom telling us about her journeys in the Argo II. And how dad was kidnapped by Queen Hera.
I didn't know-...that's all. I didn't know. I didn't know, and that was the most annoying thing of all. I didn't want to be left in the dark. I wanted answers and I didn't know. Well, mom didn't know. I knew exactly where dad was. Camp Jupiter.
Mom threw her pencil aside and leaned back on the chair. Looking up at the cieling.
"Where are you Percy?" she asked herself. There was a small knock on the door, and Malcolm (when he was younger, obviously) walked in.
"Annabeth, you haven't eaten in seventeen hours," he said, I-mom- looked at him.
"really? didn't I just have lunch?" Mom asked him, genuinely confused.
"Annabeth, you had lunch yesterday afternoon, and didn't eat anything after, do you want me to bring you your food in here?" Malcolm asked, mom shook her head,
"no, no, no. My maps will get ruined, can I just eat in five minutes?" I asked Malcolm. I wanted to eat. I was hungry beyond anything I could ever imagine, but mom wouldn't agree with me. She went back to her work.
"Annabeth, you've been searching for two days nonstop, eat something now!" Malcolm insisted,
"How would you feel?" I asked Malcolm, "If the person you cared about the most just disapeared?" I finished, facing him.
"Annabeth, I would search nonstop too, but-"
"Malcolm, just leave," I said, "I have to find Percy," she ordered. Malcolm sighed and shut the cabin door as he left cabin six.
Mom kept searching. Hurrying and organising her maps and notebook paper. She took a pin from the board, smiling and repinned it further down. Maybe she had gotten a lead. But then I frowned again, and put it back where it was, carefully analysing it. I had completely lost hope, when Malcolm burst in,
"Malcolm, I have told you-"
"We know where Percy is!" he said, out of breath,
I-mom- immediately shot up, "really?" then I sat back down again, surprising Malcolm, "this was a terrible prank, Malcolm," I said, returning to my notebook.
I wanted to yell at her to believe him, but I couldn't think straight. Something stopped me from thinking properly. I was feeling weighed down, and betrayed. How could Malcolm crack a joke about this? Wait, but he wasn't joking, why was I thinking like this? I thought Malcolm actually cared for me like a little sister. Wait, he does! stop thining! This is not true!
"Annabeth, we're not joking," Malcolm said,
yeah listen to him.
I gave up on thinking then. It was no use fighting against mom's thoughts. I just went with whatever she felt. Right now, it was just joy.
"what? how?"
"Rachel just said something. Not exactly a prophecy, but you have to find somebody with one shoe at-"
The dream ended, and I was back at Hades' palace.
"That was too easy," he said. I was standing in the throne room, I was also sweating and my hair was messy for some reason. Hades must've known what I was thinking.
"Stop resisting it, it will just take your strength,"
Explains. Probably.
"Yeah, the next one will be harder,"
I was in...
Tartarus?
oh no, no, no, no...
This cannot be happening! why this of all places?
Well, it's not like I have a choice.
