I was still eating my spaghetti when I could feel someone staring at me. It was the kid who looked to be about 7 years old from earlier. He was sitting next to his dad at the head of the table to my mom.
"So what did he do this time?" asked Axe. My mother sighed she was trying to whisper but my ears are pretty good to be only 5 years old.
"He thought I was cheating on him. He found your number in my phone and thought I was plotting to leave. Which I was but he also thought I was cheating too. He yelled and he threw me up against the wall and started choking me." Sarah gasped and Axes knuckles turned white
"Why didn't you come sooner Frankie? I didn't know it was that bad!" Sarah said
"I have had worse he actually punched my teeth out once." she said smiling. I did not know how fucked up this was until later in life.
"The difference this time was that he went for Rose. He reached for Rosie and I fucking freaked. Hit him in the head with a pan and knocked him out. Rose didn't see that part but we got out of there soon as we could, not looking back. I wouldn't be surprised if he came looking for us though." Sarah hugged my mom very tight
"awe Frankie I am so sorry. I should have called, I should popped up, I don't know I should have held you here in chains so this would not have happened to you"
"its okay Sarah my mom said smiling. It would not have stopped us anyways I was 18 when we met and I thought I was in love. " she was staring off into space now.
"It doesn't matter we aren't going back. Rose is safe here and I trust you guys. Plus she can play with little Maddie here. Right Rosie." She said the last part louder thinking I was not listening to their conversation. I nod my head yes. After dinner everyone went into this big living room watching the tv while the kids played. Which was very weird to me at the time because I was just used to it being me and mom maybe sometimes my dad being together but that's all. This place had like 40+ people in the living room right now like what the world. Madeline and I became friends immdely she is very friendly. She was also friends with this guy named Jack and he was nice too. Sarah and my mom sat on a couch where Sarah was rubbing her head and my mom was laying down sleep. I loved their friendship already they haven't saw each other in 5 years and they just picked up where they left off. Axe was sitting in a chair by himself on his phone he seems nice.
"Hey Maddie, would you let Rose stay the night in your room tonight? You guys could have a sleepover" Sarah said. Maddie jumped up and down.
"yes please."
"is that okay with you Rose?" I looked over at my mom she was still sleeping she looked so peaceful and I haven't seen her like that in awhile. I nod my head.
"okay lets get you guys a bath and some clothes to put on and we can paint our fingernails" While we were heading upstairs I looked back and Axe was picking my mom up and taking her to her room while she slept. That was then I knew this was my new home and I can trust these people. They cared about us enough to provide me and my mom a place to stay and be safe at the same time. I owe them the world.

Layton POV
I was sitting at the kitchen table when I first heard of the name Rose and Frankie. My mom had taken a call in the other room and when she came back she was talking to my dad about them.
"Frankie is on a bus over here with Rose. She said they got out as soon as they could. It must be bad this time, she is actually on the way here." my mom said. My dad did a heavy sigh
" I told her when we were in high school something was off with that guy, did not know he would turn out to be a woman beater though. Hope his dick falls off and he gets fucked in the ass by a bear." he said taking a swing out beer he had on the counter
"Axe that isn't nice!" my mother yelled.
"neither is hitting a woman so I am not taking it back." My mom turned to me.
"Layton we are going to have some visitors for awhile okay. I need you to be nice and not be mean like you are to everyone else." I rolled my eyes
" If they aren't mean to me then I wont be mean to them." my dad chuckled and my mom glared
"the kid has a point but no Layton these people are nice, so if I hear you have bad mouth either one of them i'm whopping your ass myself you got that?"
"yes sir." I said. I went back to eating my food. We are werewolves. There are at least four other packs in America we are the only ones in the south region though. It helps that no one bothers you and you get a lot of land to go with it. My Father Axe is the alpha of this pack and we are called the moon night pack. I am next in line for the position since I am the oldest kids. When Frankie and Rose came up in the pack house car, I had never seen them before and if I did I don't remember. Frankie had on a jacket with basic black tights and black pants with some boots since it was cold out, and when I saw Rose she was the cutest thing I had ever seen. She wore a little pink dress with rainbows she even had a rainbow bow in her hair with her thumb in her mouth and holding her teddy bear. I stood behind my cousin/best friend Dan.
"I wonder why they are coming here? he asked". I didn't know why they came here but it must be serious if my offered to let them stay. My mom had went to hug Frankie and then they walked her inside. By the time they had got here we had dinner ready we had over 50+ people in this pack so we had to cook simple yet fast meals to fill everyone since we all eat like we are starving. My father came to get me from over to get me to introduce myself to them.
"remember Layton be nice" i nod my head. My dad hugged Frankie and they were talking about things I didn't care to listen to since my attention was on Rose. She was staring at her mom while she was talking to my dad. We moved over to the table and I continue to stare I don't know why. I had this feeling to protect her. I was not listening that well to my father but I know that her and her mom were not in a good place with their dad, apparently it was hitting involved and my dad nor mom liked that.

Later that night when the pack got done eating we all like to go in the living room and watch TV catch up on the things going on throughout the day. We are family here and we care and worry about each other. This is just a way to keep tabs on everyone. My mom took the girls upstairs and my dad put her mom to bed. When they came back down they sat beside me.
" I still cant believe it punched her teeth out." My mom said
"If I ever see him he is dead. I don't care what anyone says."
" I might actually let you" my dad smiled
