Today I felt my depression taking the best of me, after Aaron's cheating scandal and Cartier's birth, I was diagnosed with severe depression. Nobody knew because I didn't want people feeling sorry for me, however on days when I felt like I needed people it was hard because I had to go through it by myself.
Aaron still hadn't returned home after I tried to surprise him, shit wasn't new but it was becoming aggravating that he thought he could take the piss. I had dropped Cartier at my Nan's in Camberwell and decided to check on the girls at my salon to see how they were doing.
Today, I really was craving company to try cheer me up. I sat in my salons car park trying to think of who I could call, and decided to shout Manila.
"You alright darling?" She sounded busy.
"Yh I'm okay , was just wondering if we could go out for dinner tonight or something?" I hopefully asked.
"I wish I could, but Kara is back in London and I'm preparing for her arrival tonight. I mean you could chill with us?" She asked
"Nah don't worry about it, I'll let you lots do your ting."
I ended the phone call and sighed. Sometimes I forgot how busy Thandi could be, and I forgot that we weren't real sisters. Kara has always hated me, I don't know if she felt jealous about the bond me and Thandi formed when she ran away but I couldn't help feel a sense of anger each time she came back to ends. It's like she was taking Thandi away from me.
I decided to go check on my cousin at her workplace, she was a Obstetrician and I knew she never had time to grab something to eat. As I pulled up to the hospitals car park, as I was about to turn off my engine I saw two people I'd never expect together.
Cain and Maya?
I was closely observing their actions, and I had noticed they went to separate cars. Cain looked vexed, whilst Maya looked sad. What shocked me the most is before they departed to their cars, I saw Maya rub her belly.
It all then clicked in my head. When I met Maya 3 months ago, she had told me she had just found out she was pregnant and when her and Cain saw each other at Manila's yard they looked bare awkward and shocked to see one another.
Was Cain, Maya's baby father?
The first thing a normal best friend would do is call Thandi and tell her what I saw, but I decided to take into my own hands. Guess their relationship wasn't perfect after all.
I waited for The both of them to leave the car park before I made my next move. After they Left the car park , I quickly picked up my phone.
"You alright babe?" I innocently said.
"Yeah I'm good, is everything alright?" Maya sounded as if she was panicking.
"Yeah everything is calm babe, I just remembered how you said you didn't have many friends in London and was wondering do you wanted to go out for dinner tonight?" I smirked.
