**fast forward 2 years**
2 years later, I am 10 years old now. I was now in the fifth grade. Next year is middle school which should be exciting.
Alright, ever since I had that cavity filled 2 years ago, I haven't let Daniel touch my teeth.
No checkups no nothing because I didn't wanna deal with him. I made excuses like too much homework, and hanging with friends.I know he is furious with me because I wouldn't go to my last checkups with him. I dodged him for those. And I still don't have braces yet. I don't want braces at all.
I was sitting in my bed playing Minecraft on my Xbox and having a snack. He spoiled me a lot I know he loved me. I look down at my necklace which I never took off.
He wasn't home at this minute. I think he was still at work. I know he is trying to get me to come to the office. But at least I haven't developed any toothaches or anything.
I take perfect care of my teeth then why should I go to the dentist.
I heard a door close downstairs, that meant Daniel was home.
"Chloe! Come downstairs please!" He calls
I pause my game get up and head downstairs to see Daniel who had his arms crossed.
"What?" I say curiously
"You haven't been to the dentist in 2 years, you need to go" he says
"Why do I need to go I have pearly whites" I mention and smile wide showing my pearly whites
He smiles a bit. "I know"
"Then why should I go?" I ask
"I need to make sure your teeth are okay" he says
I sigh
"You aren't gonna give up aren't you?" I ask
"Not till you get a checkup" he says turning more serious
"I'm not getting one" I say
"You been through them why are you fighting now?" Daniel whines
"I hate your office" i say
We kept arguing for like 5 min. He ended up stomping to the other bewildered and angry.
DANIEL POV
Why is she acting like this? She usually Don't mind checkups!
Well.. I won't let her get away with it.. that easily... I'll just simply ground her from her phone till she has one
I go up to her room find her phone still on her desk and she was in the shower I think and I take it. She is gonna be so pissed
CHLOE POV
I get out of the shower to see my phone gone. I look everywhere. I know I put it on my desk.
I go downstairs to see if I left it downstairs but nope couldn't find it.
I walk into the living room and see Daniel sitting on the couch.
"Have you seen my phone?" I ask
"Yea" he says
"Well where is it" I say getting impatient
"I have it" he says
"What... why do you have it? Give it back!" I say coming towards him
"Your not getting it back till you have a checkup" he says
"That is the stupidest reason why you would take my phone" I say getting more angry.
"Well, you need to have one to make sure your teeth are okay, and mouth disease" he says
"Mouth disease what the heck?" I question
"Gingivitis, periodontitis, tooth loss, tooth decay, cavities- things like that, but I could go on and on" he admits
"What's gingivitis and periodontitis" I ask
"Gingivitis is gum disease, periodontitis is advanced gum disease it can cause bleeding gums, tooth loss, pain" he says
"Eww" I mumble
"You don't have to worry about them as long as your brush your teeth, and have checkups" he says
"I don't want gum disease" I say
"As long as you brush and floss and have regular checkups you will be fine" he says
"Oh, I brush and floss everyday I don't need to go to the dentist" I chuckle
"Your not getting your phone back till you have a checkup" he says
"I need my phone" I whine
"No you don't" he says
"Yes I do!" I complain
"Have a checkup, and get your phone back that's a fair deal" he says
"Ugh... fine..." I whine
20 minutes later we were in the car driving to the office
