Horses were throwing their heads impatiently as the patrol members gathered by the stables. Durdaer and Túrdaer stood away from the stables brushing the manes, tails, and coats of their loyal steeds. Glorfindel stroked the muzzle of his elven steed, Asfaloth, while looking around for the last three members of his patrol.

He had two new recruits joining him, they were going to replace his archers who left to Greenwood. Glorfindel hoped that they remembered to come to the stables. Though, he turned his thoughts away from the others, knowing that they would come eventually. Asfaloth threw his head when his warrior stopped stroking him. The horse rubbed his face into Glorfindel's back and the Commander whipped back around.

The warrior gave a light chuckled to Asfaloth for his efforts and went to go and grab his headstall and harness. The head stall was black and gold, suns were on the top and middle of the headstall. The harness was covered in little golden bells that chimed softly whenever Glorfindel mounted, dismounted, or rode.

Asfaloth stood nice and still for his rider as he put everything on him. A saddle, a simple saddle, of black leather and was embroidered with more of the golden suns. He patted the muzzle of his magnificent steed and looked back towards the main buildings.

"You should not worry Commander, the others are just running late." Túrdaer looked up from brushing the black mane of his blood red mare. "I'm sure the three of them will not be too long." The swordsman paused thoughtfully. "Besides, joining the patrol of the Commander of the Guard is quite an achievement. I'm sure those two new archers are only nervous."

"On the contrary." Glorfindel looked up to see Elhael and two young boys who looked the same in body and in face with only a few minor differences. One was taller than the other, but other than that he could see no difference. They both had a dark brown coloured hair that could show a few blond or golden like streaks. They had eyes of blue that were dark as well.

"Apologies Commander. We did not mean to show up late." They bowed down, their braids hanging loosely, resting on their shoulders.

"Please, both of you, straighten up. It is your first day and I truly expected such." He waved away the apology and motioned for them to stand. His gaze was directed at Elhael who stood by the swordsmen. "You though, you should know when we meet."

"Ah, apologies Lord Glorfindel, I meant nothing but good will to our archers. They came and found me, asking if I knew where we were meeting. I would have come earlier." The healer did a curt bow before going into the stables for his own mount. Glorfindel looked to the twin archers with interest.

"Your names are Himeldir and Haereldir, correct?" The taller once gave a shy smile and the other twin nodded before setting his gaze on the ground. "Perhaps you could remind me which of you is which? Any elf has trouble with names of twins." The tallest stepped forward first.

"I am Haereldir, Commander." The smaller one stepped forward after his brother, but his eyes did not leave the ground.

"M-my name is Himeldir, Commander Glorfindel." Unlike his brother he did a quick bow. Glorfindel looked at the twins in amusement. So alike, yet so different. They wore quivers on their backs along with a bow that looked strangely like the Galadhrim weaponry.

"Did you two ever work under the Lord and Lady of the Golden-Wood?" He looked again at the bow before turning his gaze on the twins.

"We did Commander. The Lady sent us here saying that we would be needed." Haereldir saw that the Lord was looking at his bow across his back. "Oh, those were gifts from our first Commander. He told us we would be welcome to return at anytime." Glorfindel smiled sadly. They came to this place and left behind one of the greatest elven armies in Middle-Earth, he wondered just how much they wanted to be here.
