Chapter 1: Be My Fake Girlfriend

Annalise's POV

It's Monday. Many girls are piled up at the university gate when I arrive. I know who they are waiting for.

"Ah, Prince Ace is approaching!"

"Prince Ace!"

And yeah, they all said his name already. Prince Ace Knight is his name. We are in the same batch and department, which is engineering. He is so popular, and girls would go gaga when they see him. Not to mention, he is smart and can do almost everything. Why did I know? I heard girls gossip about him everywhere. I am not one of those girls because I'm not interested in him. I admit that he is good-looking and has lots of sex appeal, but I'm not interested in him, and I'm not one of his fangirls. Every morning, girls would wait at the gate for his arrival.

Anyway, my name is Annalise Hart. I am just an ordinary and simple girl. I am not that smart, but I somehow manage to have good grades, and that's a relief because I don't want to have low grades. After all, it's college we are talking about. I live alone in an apartment near the university, so I have no difficulty commuting. My parents, who are far away from me, would send money for my allowance. I am an only child, so I need to study hard to have a better future to help my parents.

I was sitting in my seat in the classroom when my best friend, Selena, entered. Selena is a trusted friend, unlike those girls who would swoon over famous guys.

"Good morning, Anna," Selena said while panting.

"Good morning, Sel. Why are you panting? It's like someone has chased you." I asked.

"Oh. Those girls at the gate are all piled up, and I can't enter, so I squeezed myself to pass through them," Selena answered.

"Oh, that's why. Waiting for Prince Ace every morning," I said sarcastically.

"Yup. I'm so haggard. I need a retouch," Selena said, grabbing her make-up kit.

"You should be used to that every day," I said.

"Yup. He is like a celebrity,"

It's already 8 in the morning, so the class is about to start.

Fast forward, and it's the last subject in the morning, and the subject is calculus.

"Okay, class. I have an assignment to be posted online later," The professor said.

"Okay, professor," We all answered.

"Okay. I will take my leave. Enjoy your lunch,"

Thank God it's already lunchtime. I'm starving.

"Let's go to the cafeteria, Anna," Selena said.

"Okay, let's go,"

Selena and I went to the cafeteria and ate our lunch.

After eating our lunch, we went back to our classroom. Selena and I talked about random topics when the girls in our classroom went gaga.

"Is Annamise Hart here?"

It's Prince Ace, and did I hear it right? Is he looking for me? One of the girls pointed her fingers at me, and he approached me.

"Are you Annalise Hart?" Prince asked.

"Yes. What do you want?" I answered.

"Come with me,"

Prince Ace dragged me.

I looked at Selena, and she had a shocked look on her face.

Prince Ace dragged me to the rooftop. Many girls followed us, but Prince Ace locked the door so they couldn't eavesdrop.

"Why did you drag me here? And what do you want from me?" I asked.

"I have a favor to ask,"

Prince Ace is asking a favor of me.

"And what is that?" I asked.

"Be my fake girlfriend," Prince said without hesitation.

"What? Are you insane?" I said.

"Please, I'm begging you," Prince said.

Wow. It was my first time seeing Prince Ace begging because girls would do that to him.

"Why me? There are lots of girls out there," I said.

Prince Ace wants me to be his fake girlfriend. Really? Me? But why me? Will I agree to be his fake girlfriend?
