Seventeen: Unexpected Family

Mingyu walked over to the duo. Jun, Seokmin and Mingyu stood proud.  It was set in their minds. They had been through too much, to let mark continue to do what he wants.  Seokmin looked at the clock.

"if we don't get moving, Jeonghan will have killed someone.."

Seokmin looked at Seungcheol

"or someone killed him"

Seungcheol felt a shiver run down his back, and his heart drop at the thought of Jeonghan alone, somewhere hurt or bleeding out.

Mingyu glanced around the room. Others either avoiding eye contact such as Seungkwan, Seungcheol, vernon, Wonwoo, Jihoon. Meanwhile Chan, Joshua, Soonyoung, looked like they were contemplating the situation.

 
Joshua just wanted to get Jeonghan off the streets and back to the safety of the friend group. The whole situation was unsettling and the others had no idea how to feel about it. Jun looked at the rest of the members with uneasiness in his eyes.

"I guess that's our answer."
Jun sighed not being able to blame the other boys, after all he was asking them to commit murder, through away their lives, and leave their families. Jun looked at Minghao, his face still tear stained as he slept on the hospital bed. For Minghao, he'd do anything. For his friends he would do anything. Jun knows just as good as Jeonghan that Mark wasn't going to stop his crusade anytime soon, whether they wanted him to or not. 

Jun looked at Jihoon.

"watch over him ok?"

Jihoon could only stare back, his eyes wide and shock filling his built body.

Jihoon watched as Jun, Mingyu and Seokmin walked out of the room. The time was 10:35pm.

A time Jihoon would never forget as long as he lived.

Shortly after the three boys left, the remaining members had finally snapped back to reality.

"they are trying to fucking murder someone"

"to be fair he is a murderer so technically they will be doing justice"

"it's still killing someone Joshua!"

the boys had stop talking. The quiet seeping into the heated room.

"what if something happens to them." Chan asked

"I mean, Mark is the leader right? surely they will have to fight so many others just to get to him...."
Chan's thoughts were now shared as the other began to worry. Chan was right. That freaked out everyone even more.

but something...someone disturbed their panic

Minghao was awake, in fact he had been for about 5 minutes. He was so confused he felt like throwing up.

"who's gonna murder someone? and where are the others..."

Seeing Minghao alive made the remaining boys in the room burst into tears.

Seungcheol watched in bliss as the boy was surrounded with hugs and questions. Minghao was smiling but it didn't look completely genuine just yet.

"Hao?"

"hm?"

"how are you feeling.....?"

Minghao let his smile drop. His eyes moved to his hands as he played with his fingers that were now interlaced. His eyes began to tear up.

"i'm not sure"

Minghao looked around the room, his entire mood just dropping completely.

"uh, where's, wheres Jun?"

the members looked at each other. Seungcheol sitting down next to Minghao as he explained everything from the dreadful day.

Minghao wasn't sure how he felt. He wants nothing more than to see Jun, Seokmin, Mingyu and Jeonghan. At the same time he wants to run out there 

"Why aren't you guys out there?"

Seungcheol's breath hitched, him too?

"Hao you gotta know how dangerous that is-"

"He hurt me, Seungcheol."

"He hurt Seokmin, he hurt Seungkwan"

His eyes darting from Joshua to Vernon.

"and now he's going to hurt you all too"

Wonwoo felt a cold chill run down his body. Never had he seen Minghao the way he was now. completely emotionless.

"Minghao"

"Wonwoo"

The two stared at each other. Neither one breaking contact.

"i want to go, i want to be out there"

Minghao tried to take off all the IVs and wires  connected to him. 

"Minghao- Hao. MINGHAO STOP!"

Chan held down Minghaos arms to his sides, tears dripping down his face.

It took Minghao off guard, his entire life he had never seen little Chan cry

 His chan.

Minghao stopped struggling. Depression taking over the boys body as he lay limp in his hospital bed.

"I can't believe you all aren't boiling with revenge right now"

Minghao scoffed and looked at his friends with a look of betrayal in his eyes. he turned to his side and covered himself so no one could see the pain. Minghao new he was being harsh, but maybe that would push them a little more.

The more time passed by the more Minghao began to re-live the horrible moment. Every moment.

Soonyoung ran his hands through his hair.

"fuck it"

Soonyoung was now standing, looking at the lump that was Minghao, Saddness and rage flooding his entire body.

"I'm in"

"I have a couple guns at my house, my dad hides them but I know where they are"

"Soonyoung wtf!"

Jihoon was now standing

"your just as crazy as they are!"

Soonyoung laughed

"i'm the craziest, don't get it twisted."

Soonyoung looked at the others.

"Last chance. it's now or never. So are we gonna go defend our friends, or are we going to spilt the group here and never see each other again."

Joshua didn't think it like that. 

Wonwoo didn't know they would leave each other.

and that was enough to convince them. Joshua unwilling to leave his boyfriend. Wonwoo, unwilling to leave his best friends. Chan was the next to stand up, followed by a reluctant Seungkwan, gripping tightly onto Vernon.  Followed by Seungcheol. Who thought that as the oldest, whether he not it went against his own morals. He wouldn't leave them behind.

The group stood looking at the only one left. He felt like he was the only sane one and his entire world was coming down in front of him.

"Jihoon, we'll give you more time. Wait here with Hao."

The group walked out the door. Seungcheol stopping in the door way to look back at his two friends. Seeing Jihoon with his eyes watering dug a whole into his chest.

"we'll be back Hoonie,"

"i promise"

but seungcheol, promises are meant to be broken
