Chapter 3: Realization

I walk forward and meet eye to eye with her, in case I have physic powers via those dreams I'm going to ask her a few questions before she confesses to me. "Hello, you wanted to meet me?" I asked while she put her head down, "uh hi, uh yes." Fumino said nervously, "oh well I'm in class C what class are you in?" I asked, "class A," she responded. "Wow you look cute do you have a boyfriend?" I asked, ok I'm going to need her to believe I'm interested in her so I can live for another day. Fumino's face turned red as she kept looking at the ground as she said, "uhh no, I don't." I then get out my phone and pretend to read something, "oh uh sorry my friend Yua wants me to... meet her somewhere." I said out loud, Fumino then stopped blushing and looked at my eyes seriously, "where!" She said out loud as I backed away by a step.
"I don't think that really matters, uhh what's your name?" I said trying to change the subject, "where are you meeting her?" Fumino said as she kept getting closer and closer to me as I kept backing away till my back touched the school wall. "Uhh the restaurant Aby Town?" I said scared, "good to know too bad this couldn't work out," Fumino said. "Wait what do you mean by that?" I felt something pierce my gut, I look down and see a knife in there, "AHHH AUGH," I screamed in pain as blood gushed through my gut and mouth, Fumino then grabs the knife, laughs, and walks away, "No stop don't, don't, Yua." I said as my right pocket began to glow. I close my eyes and see nothing. So this is how I die huh? Wait, I hear something loud, something familiar, I open my eyes and see my ceiling. Wait, no, no,no, I get off my bed and feel where my gut was pierced. Can I, no way, no, but then, those weren't dreams? How is this possible, okay Itsuki think, how is this possible, what is happening? What's the last thing I remember, well besides being murdered three times in a row. Well whenever I was near the brink of death, that metal ball with the switch, when I was close to death it kept glowing, maybe, maybe that's it, that must be it there's no other logical explanation. I walk around my room, what if I just stay at home, yeah that could work I suppose? Ok I'll do that, I then called my school and lied to them saying I was sick. I then went downstairs, grabbed the note my parents gave me and threw it in the trash. I dialed my mother's phone number and she picked up, "hey mom when do you suppose you'll get back home?" I asked, "ohhh, we'll honey I'm so sorry to tell you but we won't be back till a year," she said, "A year!" I yelled out loud, surprised. "You see when we got here from the airport you're father tripped and fell down on the road we're a car ran into him." She said, "A car! Is he okay?" I asked loudly, "yes he is but he broke a few bones and is in the hospital right now" she said, "what about work? What is he going to do?" I asked out loud worried, "luckily his company has healthcare and allowed him to not come back to work after this entire situation, on the meanwhile I still have to go." She said, "it's October currently so you'll be back next year in October right?" "Most likely, it all depends on how fast your father recovers so we still don't know yet, I'll still come and visit during Christmas and New Years, also Erina's school is currently having some trouble so she might come home early, I hope you don't mind taking care of her." She said, "why would I?" I said smiling, "Listen Itsuki I know how you are with Erina, even if you're father doesn't notice, just try not to do anything you'd regret with her," she said as I looked away from my phone. "Well don't have hope that nothing will happen, I haven't seen her in a while so she might have changed," I said, "just make sure to take care of her in case her school closes down ok?" She asked, "ok I responded," "well I have to go now call me whenever you have a question or need more money." She said, "ok I will," I said as we said our goodbyes, I then walked back into my room and stayed there till I checked my phone and saw that the school day ended. I went to my glass cabinet full of female figures from anime and took out one figure from this anime I've been watching. The character is a massive yandere and after the things i've been through I no longer like yanderes. I get back on my bed and receive a message from Uzami, "hey bro did you miss me from school?" He asked as I remembered that he was sick from my last life, I then responded with, "oh about that, I was also sick and couldn't make it to school." "No way, we'll what did you do the entire day?" He asked, I then revived a message from Yua, I read it and it said, "Why weren't you at school?" I went back to my text with Uzami and texted him, "hold on I'll call you later I have to do something," he quickly responded with, "ok." I then went back to Yua's text message and responded with, "I'm sorry I wasn't there today, I was sick." Yua took 10 seconds to respond with, "well you should have told me baka!" I laughed a little when I heard something break. I stood up and opened my bedroom door, what could that be? I went near my stairs and looked down to see someone under a hoodie walking around my living room. I then attempted to go back upstairs slowly and quietly but the person wearing the hoodie looked straight at me. The person under the hoodie was Fumino, we both stared at each other for a few seconds, "what are you doing in my house?" I said sounding alarmed.
"You weren't at school today, why?" She asked, trying to change the subject, "I'm sick today, why are you in my house?" I asked again, "you don't look sick, you look healthy." She said trying to change the subject, I look near here pockets and see the handle of a knife, I quickly jump at here and knock her down with me, I'm on top of her as I see her facing blushing, I then see my front doors open, I quickly get off of her as she grabs her knife, I run out the door and keep running trying to get to the station, I look behind myself and see Fumino chasing after me with a knife in her hand, I pass a few people as they watch her chase after me, "Do something, stop her!" I yelled but none of them did anything, I made it to the train station, entered and jumped over all scanners and avoided security since my life was on the line. I see the train that goes to my school and hop inside, a few people then block the doors while I see Fumino go to the train slot behind the one I'm in. Ok the moment we make it there I need to run, I sit down and take a small break. When the train stops at my destination I get off, Fumino does the same thing. I start running up the stairs of the station and make it outside, I keep running to my fullest extent as Fumino laughs and slashes her knife through the air, am I going to make it in time? I arrive near the school gates and run straight to the metal ball that I see, pick it up, fall to the ground, and switch the switch from off to on, the metal ball starts to glow as I hold it tightly in the palms of my hands.
"Why are you doing this!" I yelled out loud as Fumino stopped and stared at me, "it's because I love you," she said as she approached closer to me as I panted, I couldn't get up, I used up most of my adrenaline and achieved my goal in this life. "This isn't love!" I screamed out loud as she shook her head and refused to listen to me. "If I can't have you, then no one can!" She screamed out loud as she ran towards me swinging her knife, she stabbed me in the left eye as I screamed out loud, "AHHH, WHY! WHY!" I screamed painfully as she took the knife out of my eyes and continued to stab my body, with my other eye I saw the metal ball floating around me in pain, I closed my right eye, and opened it again to see my ceiling. I get off my bed, vomit on my floor and touch near my eye in horror, I then bang my hands really hard in my floors, "Damn it, Damn it, Damn it, whatever I do I keep dying!" I said as I stood up shaking.
