Lydia and I thought up a plan to soothe the archer's shaky hands. A little target practice.

Lydia was pinning up the target while I stood and watched next to Allison. “Do you really think this is gonna help?” Allison questions from next to me.

“I know that if you think it's not going to help, it definitely won't.” Lydia shot back.

I roll my eyes. I clear my throat and give Allison's shoulders a squeeze. “So get your head into it, shoot a few and see what happens.” I coach with smile. I hope this works.

Allison pulls back the string her hands a light tremor in them. When she releases the arrow it lands a few feet from the tree. I look down.

Allison picks up another arrow and fires it clatters to the ground she bites her lip, the usual marksmen failing at shooting a simple target.

“Try holding the string a different way. Try the Mongolian draw.” I suggest. Lydia and Allison raise eyebrows at me.

“What? You taught me well Miss Huntress.” I reply. She manages a small smile and holds the bow at an angle.

She does so and fires it clatters to the ground. I look down again this is not working. “Maybe it's the bow, let me try.” I suggest. She pulls off her glove and hands it to me. I strap it on and I pull the string back to my cheek. “Remember to focus on the target and breath on the release.” Allison says. I nod. “Got it.” I pull the string back again and I fire.

The arrow almost lands a perfect shot. I purse my lips. “It's not the bow.” I say softly while handing Allison back the bow. She nods. “Nice shot.” “Thanks.”

I stand next to Lydia. “Okay, um... Take a second to close your eyes and imagine the arrow going into the target.” Lydia says trying to help Allison.

Allison closes her eyes, then jumps slightly when she opens them. “Did you see that?” She questions. “See what?” Lydia asks.

Allison reaches down and picks up her arrows and slings them over her shoulder. “Are you serious?” I ask disbelief. “I'll be right back.” “You did not just say that.” Lydia hisses. As Allison walks.

Allison pulls back her string aiming right at us. “Allison!” I call, she's in some sort of trance. She get's ready to fire. I push Lydia down to the ground, when the arrow whizzes right at my face.

I close my eyes waiting for it to hit me, but it doesn't come. I open my eyes. Isaac caught the arrow before it hit my face.

I let out a gasp my eyes wide. Allison snaps out of it and drops her bow. “Oh, my God. Oh, my God, Macy.” She almost killed me. “Good shot.” I squeak out.

The next day at school, we all have lunch outside at the picnic tables talking about what the possible solution to our growing problem could be. I did not want to continue to be a target. Macy Lynn Carter is not a target. I sat next to Scott and Stiles on one side while, Isaac, Lydia and Allison were on another.

“Okay so what happens to someone who has a near death experience and comes out of it seeing things?” Scott questions.

“And is unable to tell what's real or not?” Stiles adds.

“And is being haunted by demonic visions of dead relatives.” Allison finishes.

“They're all locked up because they're insane.” Isaac replies. I kick him in the shin because he is right across from me. He groans and glares at me.

“Ha. Can you at least try to be helpful, please?” Stiles questions annoyed with the Beta.

“For half my childhood I was locked in a freezer. So, being helpful is a kinda of a new thing form me.” Isaac counters.
